News:Kolton Browning (foot) will start Saturday's game against North Texas, the News-Star reports.
Analysis:Kolton Browning is a must-start in most leagues so make sure he's in your lineup unless you are lucky enough to have an even better option at quarterback. North Texas isn't a push over so far as Sun Belt teams are concerned, but nobody would describe their defense as formidable, and Browning should be in for a big day.
News:Kolton Browning (foot) returned to practice Sunday and is questionable for Saturday's game against North Texas, Daily News Journal writer Adam Sparks reports.
Analysis:Kolton Browning would be back to QB1 status in nearly all scenarios if he returns to the field, but his status is still up in the air. Pocket passer Cody Wells will sub for Browning if necessary, but he can't provide the rushing threat Browning can.
News:Kolton Browning (foot) didn't play in Thursday's game against Arkansas St. and could miss the rest of the season, SI's Stewart Mandel reports.
Analysis: Cody Wells is clearly a downgrade from Kolton Browning, but he did manage to complete 37-of-53 passes for 357 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception; albeit in a 45-23 loss. If the Warhawks finish strong and receive a bowl bid, it would certainly help Browning's chances of making another appearance this season.

News: So it appears that there is no favorite receiver for Louisiana-Monroe quarterback Kolton Browning as it was not Tavarese Maye or Brent Leonard who led the receiving corps this weekend. Colby Harper led the charge with eight catches for 110 yards and a score.
Analysis: Harper is only a freshman so he bears paying some attention to, but it is probably best to avoid the ULM receivers as any one of them could be the hot hand for the week.
News: It seems like every week there is a new top receiver for Louisiana-Monroe with Tavarese Maye taking top honors against Troy. Maye had seven catches for 161 yards and a score against the Trojans.
Analysis: Part of the reason that there are so many different guys who perform well for the Warhawks is that they have been platooning quarterbacks. When Cody Wells is in, his favorite target is Brent Leonard while Maye appears to be the go-to guy for Kolton Browning.
News: Louisiana-Monroe wide receiver Brent Leonard has worked hard to make the Warhawk football team as a walk-on and has risen to the top as the team's leading receiver. After catching just two passes in the first two games combined, Leonard has caught 31 balls for over 300 yards and three touchdowns in the last three games.
Analysis: Leonard is a solid option considering the sheer amount of targets he gets from quarterbacks Kolton Browning and Cody Wells, which merits picking him up in deeper leagues.

Analysis: It seems as if this rotation could keep going as the Warhawks try to find some spark on offense. If you have a Louisiana-Monroe player on your roster it is best to drop him.
News: Despite being arguably the team's best player, speedy Louisiana-Monroe receiver Luther Ambrose has stumbled out of the blocks with just five catches thus far this season. Head coach Todd Berry says "He’s just been a little bit inconsistent catching the ball."
Analysis: If Ambrose can shore up his inconsistencies, he could be a great weapon for quarterback Kolton Browning against Sun Belt defenses.

Analysis: Grambling State is a good team but they will not be able to contain Browning and his favorite target Ambrose.
News: This year Louisiana-Monroe quarterback Kolton Browning is expected to build upon a solid freshman season that saw him account for nearly 3,000 yards of offense. One thing that will help his growth will be throwing to speedster Luther Ambrose.
Analysis: Ambrose had a solid year in Todd Berry's wide open offense and could push for the 1,000 yard mark in the second year.
News: After starting as a true freshman, Louisiana-Monroe quarterback Kolton Browning was baptized by fire but is now a year older, more mature, and ready to challenge for the conference title this year.
Analysis: Browning compiled nearly 3,000 yards from scrimmage and should make a huge jump as a sophomore. Browning is worth picking up in deeper all-120 leagues.

Analysis: If you're looking for positives, the lefty completed over 75 percent of his passes while operating mostly out of the shotgun. News: Browning completed 19-of-32 passes for 267 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions and rushed 18 times for 83 yards in Saturday's 34-20 loss to Arkansas State.
Analysis: Browning had a rough first game against the SEC's Arkansas Razorbacks, but improved considerably against the Sun Belt's Arkansas State Red Wolves. He improved his completion rate by almost 20 percent and led the team in rushing for the day. The Warhawks face Southeastern Louisiana next week.
Browning Throws One Touchdown for Warhawks in 31-7 Loss to Razorbacks
News: Browning completed 7-of-17 passes for 74 yards with one touchdown and one interception and rushed 11 times for 25 yards in Saturday's 31-7 loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Analysis: From virtually every aspect it was a day to forget for Browning and the Warhawks. Browning managed a putrid 41 percent completion rate with his lone touchdown pass coming in the fourth quarter with the game in hand for the Razorbacks. The good news is that the match-up gets easier next week against an Arkansas State team who has given up 83 points through two games. Despite the more favorable match-up, based on merit alone you'd have to consider Browning a stay-away.
