News:Alex Dennison will see more playing time at tight end and possibly at tailback for the Bulls, according to the Buffalo News.
Analysis:Alex Dennison has just four receptions for 47 yards and five carries for 13 yards as well as a touchdown pass this season. He is not roster-worthy outside of MAC-only leagues, and even that is optimistic.
News:Alex Dennison had four carries for 13 yards and a touchdown along with a 55-yard touchdown pass Saturday against Ohio.
Analysis:Alex Dennison only has one catch since the season opener, and these are his only two touchdowns to this point. Fantasy owners should continue to ignore him.
Buffalo's Dennison Grabs Three Passes Against Georgia
News:Alex Dennison had three catches for 21 yards against Georgia on Saturday.
Analysis:Alex Dennison is not an elite fantasy option right now, but he should have better games down the road.
News: Dennison, who backed up sophomore Jerry Davis for the first five games of the season at quarterback, will move to tight end, where coach Jeff Quinn hopes the redshirt freshman will develop long term, The Buffalo News reports.
Analysis: The team seems committed to Davis at quarterback, but they also know they have a great athlete on their hands in Dennison, so they're going to try to find more ways to get him on the field at tight end, H-back, and special teams. He won't have any value just yet, but given his skill set and athleticism he's worth keeping an eye on for future seasons, especially if he adds on weight to fill out his 6-3 frame. Alex Zordich, a true freshman, was officially named the No. 2 quarterback Monday.
News: Coach Jeff Quinn has listed both Jerry Davis, a sophomore, and redshirt freshman Dennison atop the quarterback depth chart and the two will compete for the position in training camp, The Buffalo News reports.
Analysis: This isn't the same group that Turner Gill had to work with, as Naaman Roosevelt, James Starks and Jesse Rack have all moved on. In fact, whoever "wins" the job might have to share plenty of time with the other, as Quinn is known for getting more than one quarterback ready to run his spread offense. It will be interesting to see who starts behind center for the opener against Rhode Island. Our early guess is that Davis will get that first task, but Dennison is a promising player and has a long time to become the main man for Quinn's show.
