News: Virginia head coach Mike London still isn't sure if quarterback Michael Rocco (ribs) will be able to start Saturday's game against Idaho.
Analysis: London did confirm freshman David Watford will start should Rocco not be able to go, which eliminates Ross Metheny (again) from this battle. A decision isn't expected to come until late Friday night or Saturday morning. We can only hope two things here: 1) that you don't need either to help you win and 2) London does the right thing, and lets Watford play from start to finish.
News: According to head coach Mike London, Virginia quarterback Michael Rocco was relieved Saturday because of a rib injury, which played a part in the signal caller's three interceptions against Southern Miss.
Analysis: Interestingly, Rocco denied being in any pain in the post game interview. Assuming he's healthy, London said Rocco will start this weekend against Idaho. If he can't go, freshman David Watford and Ross Metheny will engage in a short battle prior to a starter being named Thursday. Rocco has just one TD to seven INTs this season. Until Watford takes over - ignore Cavalier signal callers.

Analysis: London still asserts that freshman David Watford will play, but described his action as a "limited menu." I'm not buying this - Virginia's schedule lends itself to Rocco settling in nicely, and Watford should continue to have his "menu" increase.

Analysis: Yuck, yuck and more yuck. The surrounding pieces are in place in Wahoo territory, but it's disheartening that there is even less clarity now than during spring. Nothing has changed here - Michael Rocco, Ross Metheny and at least one of the two names above will play this year. For Kris Burd's sake, pray they can all be competent.
