New Mexico's Carrier Scores His 15th TD of the Year

News: Kasey Carrier rushed a team-high 16 times for 59 yards and a score in Saturday's 24-20 loss to Colorado State.
Analysis: Kasey Carrier's workload was diminished because of the team letting quarterback B.R. Holbrook pass it around in his final game. The junior running back had a productive year and should be one of the better fantasy options in the conference next season.

New Mexico's Carrier Goes Over 100 Yards With No TD

News: Kasey Carrier rushed 18 times for 145 yards in a 31-24 loss to Nevada on Saturday.
Analysis: Kasey Carrier's touchdown numbers have taken a hit since Cole Gautsche took over as the starting quarterback. With that in mind, Carrier is still a must-start in fantasy. Especially with a soft Colorado State defense up next for the Lobos.

New Mexico's Carrier Scores a Touchdown vs. Wyoming

News: Kasey Carrier received a team-high 32 carries and rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 28-23 loss to Wyoming.
Analysis: After a frustrating game against UNLV, it was nice to see Kasey Carrier get closer to his normal production. Even though he went over 100 yards and scored, it was still a relatively ineffective performance from Carrier who saw his quarterback, Cole Gautsche, rush 17 times for 149 yards. With Nevada up next, he's still a must-start because of the sheer number of carries he receives.

New Mexico's Carrier Has a Frustrating Day Against UNLV

News: Kasey Carrier rushed for 52 yards on 18 carries in a 35-7 loss to UNLV on Saturday.
Analysis: Kasey Carrier's streak of four-straight 100-yard games was brought to a screeching halt. UNLV stacked the box most of the day and stuffed the Lobos' ground game. Up next is a Wyoming team who rank poorly against the run, but did hold Colorado State to only 125 yards on the ground in a win this weekend. The bulk of workload will continue to go to Carrier, so keep starting him if you own him.

New Mexico's Carrier Continues His Hot Streak in Loss to the Bulldogs

News: Kasey Carrier rushed 19 times for 136 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-32 loss to Fresno State on Saturday.
Analysis: It wasn't quite the 338 yards and three touchdowns Kasey Carrier put up against Air Force, but it was still good fantasy production. Carrier has four straight 100 yard rushing games and 13 rushing touchdowns in his last six contests. Carrier should run over UNLV next week as they rank in the bottom half of FBS teams in rush defense.

New Mexico's Carrier Rushes for Conference Record 338 Yards

News: Kasey Carrier rushed for a Mountain West Conference record 338 yards on 39 carries and scored three touchdowns in a 28-23 loss to Air Force on Saturday.
Analysis: Kasey Carrier now has 152 carries for 968 yards, 11 touchdowns and is one of the nation's best kept secrets. New Mexico utilizes a run-heavy offense, making Carrier a fantasy-owner's dream. The Lobos' next opponent Fresno State has a decent run defense, but that doesn't mean they can stop Carrier. You have to start him if you own him.

New Mexico's Carrier Continues to Impress in Win Over Hawaii

News: Kasey Carrier rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns on a season-high 35 carries as the Lobos beat Hawaii 35-23 on Sunday.
Analysis: Kasey Carrier has 352 yards and six touchdowns over the last two weeks. In an important match-up against Air Force next week, Carrier should be in line for a big workload once again.

New Mexico's Carrier Breaks Out With Four Touchdowns

News: Kasey Carrier received 23 carries, rushed for a career 191 yards and scored four touchdowns in a 35-14 win over Texas State on Saturday.
Analysis: The Lobos gameplan has shifted to become pretty much all running plays as quarterback B.R. Holbrook attempted only three passes. Kasey Carrier benefited with the most carries and should be looked at going forward.

New Mexico's Carrier Scores a Touchdown Against Boise State

News: Kasey Carrier carried the ball a team-high 18 times for 86 yards and scored a touchdown in a 32-29 loss to Boise State on Saturday.
Analysis: Kasey Carrier continues to lead the team in carries, but there are way too many guys who run with the ball for New Mexico. Quarterback Cole Gautsche and fellow running back Jhurell Pressley combined for 24 rushes and three touchdowns.

New Mexico's Carrier Scores in Win over NMSU

News: Kasey Carrier touched the ball 21 times for a team-high 129 yards and a touchdown in the Lobos' win over New Mexico State on Saturday.
Analysis: Kasey Carrier is the lead back for New Mexico, but it was his first score of the year. Teammate Jhurell Pressley vultured two touchdowns, making Carrier not desirable in any leagues outside of MWC-only.

Lobos' Carrier Struggles Against Texas

News: Kasey Carrier had 11 carries for 51 yards in a 45-0 loss to Texas on Saturday.
Analysis: Outside of quarterback Cole Gautsche, Kasey Carrier had the most carries for the Lobos. There are better options at running back in fantasy than Carrier.

New Mexico's Carrier (Hamstring) Set to Return

News: Kasey Carrier should play this week against Texas after a hamstring injury caused him to miss the Lobos' opener, the Austin American-Statesman reports.
Analysis: Kasey Carrier was projected to be New Mexico's starter, so he should get the bulk of carries as Demarcus Rogers, who got the bulk of carries last week, is questionable with a bruised knee. However, it's a tough matchup for fantasy purposes.

Carrier's status still uncertain for Lobos

News: New Mexico running back Kasey Carrier is still dealing with meniscus surgery in his knee and is questinable for Saturday's game.
Analysis: Carrier hasn't played yet this season and the Lobos running game has struggled. Perhaps the time is coming when freshman Crusoe Gongbay will get a chance to see what he can do to jump-start the running game.

RB Kasey Carrier likely out for UNM

News: New Mexico running back Kasey Carrier, who is recovering from a slight tear in his left lateral meniscus will likely miss his second game of the year against Arkansas this week.
Analysis: Carrier missed the opener against Colorado State as well.  The Lobos will rely on James Wright to lead the rushing attack against the Hogs this week.

Lobos RB Carrier dealing with knee issue

News: New Mexico running back Kasey Carrier is still working through what's being described as a minor knee injury. Right now, he won't play in the Lobos' opener.
Analysis: With Carrier out, the running back duties will belong to senior James Wright and freshman Crusoe Gongbay. No word yet on how long Carrier is likely out.

Carrier Struggles As New Mexico Loses Again

News: Carrier rushed 15 times for 44 yards as New Mexico was routed by BYU Saturday.
Analysis: Carrier has no fantasy value heading into the final game of the season against powerful TCU.

Carrier Does Little in New Mexico's Loss

News: Carrier rushed 13 times for 44 yards as New Mexico lost to Air Force Saturday.
Analysis: After a strong game in the win over Wyoming, Carrier didn't find much room to run against the Falcons. He has no fantasy value.

Carrier Has a Big Game as New Mexico Wins

News: Carrier rushed 12 times for 92 yards and a touchdown in New Mexico's 34-31 win over Wyoming Saturday.
Analysis: Carrier had his best game of the season Saturday against the Cowboys, but still has no value at this juncture.

Carrier Scores as New Mexico Loses Again

News: Carrier found the end zone for New Mexico Saturday, but finished with just six yards on nine carries in the game.
Analysis: Carrier's dismal production was a bit of a surprise, especially considering teammates Brad Gruner and James Wright found room to run against New Mexico State.

Carrier Finds Some Daylight For New Mexico

News: Carrier rushed 12 times for 58 yards and caught five passes for 36 yards in New Mexico's loss to UTEP Saturday.
Analysis: Carrier's performance doesn't go unnoticed, but he has no fantasy value at the running back position.

Carrier Gets Work as New Mexico Loses to Texas Tech

News: Carrier finished with 27 yards on 10 carries as New Mexico fell to 0-2 on the season Saturday against Texas Tech.
Analysis: The Lobos running game appears to be very weak this season, so New Mexico isn't likely to produce anything of fantasy value in the backfield.

New Mexico's Carrier Seeing Starter's Carries

News: Carrier ran for 54 yards on 11 attempts in New Mexico's loss to Utah last Saturday.
Analysis: Carrier certainly has a fitting name for a running back. In addition to that, he appears to have taken over as the Lobos' primary running back. Despite the promotion, Carrier probably won't produce enough to warrant a spot on your fantasy squad.
