San Diego State's Lockett Reaches End-Zone for Second Week in a Row

News: Colin Lockett hauled in three catches for 73 yards and a touchdown in a 38-34 loss to San Jose State on Saturday.
Analysis: For the second week in a row, Colin Lockett has recorded a touchdown. However, Lockett's score came on a 40 yard pass in the fourth quarter and made up most of his production on the day. Until Lockett can consistently command more attention from quarterback Ryan Katz, he's a tough play in fantasy.

San Diego State's Lockett Catches One Ball for a Touchdown

News: Colin Lockett recorded one catch for 37 yards in the first quarter of a 49-41 win over North Dakota on Saturday.
Analysis: Colin Lockett scored a touchdown for the second week in a row, but the fact remains that his opportunities have been rare. Until he records more catches, he's tough to start.

San Diego State's Lockett Takes Kickoff Back to the House

News: Colin Lockett only had two catches for 11 yards, but did take a kick-off back 96 yards for a touchdown in the Aztecs' 42-7 win over Army.
Analysis: Colin Lockett showed off his great speed in the third quarter, but it would have been nice to see him get more catches. Until quarterback Ryan Katz shows a preference to go his way, his fantasy value is diminishing.

SDSU's Lockett Slowed by Washington Defense

News: Colin Lockett grabbed four receptions for 48 yards in a 21-12 loss at Washington on Saturday.
Analysis: The silver lining is that new quarterback Ryan Katz looked Colin Lockett's way more than any other receiver. With an easier match-up against Army next week, Lockett should have a better chance of reaching the end zone.

Aztec WRs have pretty solid day

News: San Diego State receivers Colin Lockett and Dylan Denso each found the end zone in the win over UNLV. Lockett had four catches for 45 yards and the score, while Denso had but two catches for 24 yards.
Analysis: Despite the loss of a herd of receivers, Denso and Lockett have really emerged as pretty good targets for quarterback Ryan Lindley and shouldn't be blamed for Lindley's struggles to be a .500 passer.

Two Aztec receivers doing all the damage

News: San Diego State receivers Colin Lockett and Dylan Denso have caught 60 of the 65 passes caught by the team's wide receivers this year.
Analysis: Coach Rocky Long said that the Aztecs have been limited at receiver because some of the other receivers simply haven' t earned playing time in practice this season. So, it looks like Lockett and Denso will be the prime targets the rest of the way.

Lockett emerges as top target for SDSU

News: Despite all the losses the San Diego State receiving corps have undergone since last season, there are some bright spots with the youngsters. Colin Lockett is the MWC's No. 3 receiver with 81.2 yards per game, and he has scored three times.
Analysis: Lockett and Dylan Denso have been very productive. If quarterback Ryan Lindley can get his accuracy numbers up from the 51 percent they are currently at, Lockett could prove to be one of the Mountain West's better young receivers.

Lockett starting to shine for Aztecs

News: Colin Lockett had the only touchdown for San Diego State Saturday against Michigan, catching a 16-yarder from quarterback Ryan Lindley. In all, Lockett had seven catches for 71 yards in the game.
Analysis: Along with Dylan Denso, Lockett is starting to really come into his own as a receiver for San Diego State. He got off to a slow start, but his 19 catches in four games, including 16 in the last three, shows he's coming on nicely.

Aztec receivers keep producing quality play

News: San Diego State receivers Dylan Denso and Colin Lockett both had four catches in the win over Washington State. Denso led the team with 61 yards and Lockett had 59.
Analysis: With all the worries flying around about the state of the Aztecs receiving corps, it appears that both Denso and Lockett have earned the trust of quarterback Ryan Lindley. They'll produce more numbers and will see the end zone some more before it's all done.

Lockett leads SDSU receiving corps

News: San Diego State quarterback Ryan Lindley had only eight completions against Army and receiver Colin Lockett had five of them, including a 68-yard scoring catch in the first quarter. Lockett had 113 receiving yards.
Analysis: Lockett is starting to become a productive receiver for the Aztecs and certainly got the majority of the action Saturday.

SDSU's Lockett scores receiving and returning

News: San Diego State receiver Colin Lockett scored twice in the win over Cal-Poly, catching an 18-yard pass from quarterback Ryan Lindley and returning a kickoff 98 yards. In fact, Lockett was the leading receiver for the Aztecs with three catches for 82 yards.
Analysis: With Dylan Denso having a big day, Lockett's play was certainly an indication that SDSU's receiving situation is going to be just fine. Lockett showed a big play capability that had to delight the coaching staff. Let's see if he continues to be a guy who's involved in the action.
