News:Zach Zwinak rushed for 134 yards on 21 carries Saturday at Purdue. He also caught two passes for 15 yards.
Analysis:Zach Zwinak hasn't found the end zone since Oct. 6, but he's still a great option in Big Ten-only leagues.
News:Zach Zwinak had a team-high 28 carries for 121 yards (4.3 YPC) and a touchdown, while tallying six receptions for 52 yards, during Penn State's 39-28 win over Northwestern on Saturday.
Analysis:Zach Zwinak has led the Nittany Lions in rushing each of the last three weeks, averaging 105 yards and a touchdown during that span. While he doesn't have a run longer than 16 yards this season, he is the clear No. 1 RB right now, with Michael Zordich and Bill Belton filling complementary roles.
News:Zach Zwinak had a team-high 19 carries for 100 yards (5.3 YPC) and two touchdowns Saturday as Penn State beat Illinois, 35-7.
Analysis: The return of Bill Belton (ankle) didn't cut into his workload much as the Nittany Lions ran 52 times to just 30 passes. Belton received 16 totes while Derek Day (shoulder) saw just four, which could increase as their health improves. It remains to be seen if that development will in fact change Zach Zwinak's fortunes after his success the past two weeks, but we'll be sure to watch for any change in his status as this Saturday's contest against Northwestern approaches.
News:Zach Zwinak led Penn State with 18 rushes for 94 yards (5.2 YPC), while adding one catch for 12 yards, during a 24-13 win Saturday over Temple.
Analysis: With Bill Belton (ankle) and Derek Day (shoulder) still on the sidelines, Zach Zwinak was able to take advantage after garnering just four touches through the first three weeks of the season. If either player returns for the Nittany Lions' first Big Ten tilt at Illinois this Saturday, Zwinak's production is sure to return to that level.
