News:Jimmay Mundine led all Kansas receivers with three catches for 63 yards in a loss to Iowa State on Saturday.
Analysis:Jimmay Mundine is the first Kansas receiver to clear 50 yards in the last three games.
News:Jimmay Mundine has claimed the top spot at tight end for Kansas, passing teammate Mike Ragone, the Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis: Owners in all leagues should be able to find a better option, unless Kansas can solve its problems in the passing game.
News: Kansas head coach Turner Gill announced that sophomore wide receiver Erick McGriff and redshirt freshman tight end Jimmay Mundine were suspended for the first two games for violating team rules.
Analysis: McGriff wasn't expected to see much playing time this year, but Mundine was perhaps someone to keep an eye on as a nice complement to starting tight end Tim Biere. Now both will have to miss, on paper, the two easiest matchups Kansas will face this season.
News: While the offense was not scaring anyone last season, one player to watch for the Jayhawks in 2011 is tight end Jimmay Mundine. Mundine redshirted last year but has drawn plenty of praise from head coach Turner Gill. Kansas' more consistent tight end, Tim Biere, says "Jimmay brings some athleticism and a little bit of excitement to the position."
Analysis: It is rare that a team has two tight ends with fantasy worth but the combination of Mundine and Biere could be interesting...however keep in mind that the KU offense has a long ways to go.
