UNLV"s Cornett Posts a Season-Low in Yards Against Hawaii
News:Tim Cornett rushed 12 times for 32 yards in a 48-10 loss to Hawaii on Saturday.
Analysis:Tim Cornett went over 100 yards in eight games this season and recorded seven touchdowns. If he returns for his senior season, he's worth adding in most fantasy leagues.
News:Tim Cornett rushed for 56 yards on a team-high 19 carries in a 28-23 loss to Wyoming on Saturday.
Analysis: This was one of Tim Cornett's worst performances on the season. He remains a player to start next week when UNLV travels to Hawaii to take on a defense who is not particularly strong against the run.
News:Tim Cornett carried the ball 20 times for 102 yards in Saturday's 33-11 loss to Colorado State.
Analysis:Tim Cornett became the first Rebel since Icky Woods in 1987 to have eight 100-yard rushing games. With Wyoming up next, he should have another opportunity to reach the century mark. Start him if you own him.
UNLV's Cornett Goes Over 100 and Scores a TD vs. New Mexico
News:Tim Cornett carried the ball nine times for 107 yards and a touchdown in a 35-7 win over New Mexico on Saturday.
Analysis:Tim Cornett is usually the team's workhorse, but he was second in line to teammate Bradley Randle who rushed for 113 yards and scored two touchdowns. Don't expect that to be the norm as Cornett has seven 100-yard rushing games on the season. Next week's match-up with Colorado State bodes well for Cornett so make sure to get him in the starting line-up.
News:Tim Cornett received a team-high 19 carries and rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown in a 24-14 loss to San Diego State on Saturday.
Analysis:Tim Cornett has eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark six times this season. After scoring four touchdowns in his first four games, he has only two in the last five weeks. Keep starting him in MWC-only and deeper leagues, but he's a reach in any other league.
News:Tim Cornett carried the ball 16 times for 61 yards in a 32-7 loss to Boise State on Saturday.
Analysis:Tim Cornett received the same amount of carries as teammate Bradley Randle and was slightly less effective. Cornett's less than stellar performance can probably be attributed to a good Broncos' defense, but keep an eye on him to see if he starts to lose carries to Randle. He's still worth owning in MWC-only and deeper leagues.
UNLV's Cornett Reaches the End-Zone Against Nevada
News:Tim Cornett received a team-high 20 carries for 129 yards and a touchdown in a 42-37 loss to Nevada.
Analysis:Tim Cornett has eclipsed the century mark in five of his seven games this season, but has a touchdown in only two of his last five games. With Bradley Randle continuing to vulture carries and touchdowns, Cornett's fantasy value is limited.
News:Tim Cornett received a team-high 23 carries and rushed for 111 yards in a 58-31 loss to Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
Analysis:Tim Cornett was much better than teammate Bradley Randle in this game, but it would still be nice to see Cornett reach the end-zone more often. He has four touchdowns on the season and only one in his last four games.

News:Tim Cornett received a team-high 17 carries for 36 yards in a 35-13 loss to Utah State on Saturday.
Analysis:Tim Cornett had his worst game of the season while posting a paltry 2.1 yards per carry. Meanwhile, teammate Bradley Randle had 14 carries for 91 yards and looked much more effective. For now, Cornett is still the lead guy, but another performance like this and Randle could become number one on the depth chart.
UNLV's Cornett Passes the Century Mark and Scores a Touchdown
News:Tim Cornett carried the ball 17 times for 114 yards and a touchdown in a 38-35 win over Air Force on Saturday.
Analysis:Tim Cornett surpassed the century mark for the third time in four games this season. Cornett would have been a monster play this week if not for teammate Bradley Randle who vultured three rushing touchdowns. It was specifically frustrating for Cornett owners to see Randle score a touchdown after Cornett busted open a 76 yard run to set up the score. Nonetheless, Cornett is still a solid play from week-to-week.
UNLV's Cornett Fails to Reach End Zone Against the Cougars
News:Tim Cornett carried the ball 20 times for 89 yards and added two catches for 15 yards in a loss to Washington State on Friday.
Analysis: Due to the Rebels falling behind early, UNLV was forced to let quarterback Nick Sherry pass the ball 49 times. Even though Tim Cornett didn't score a touchdown for the first time in three weeks, you can count on him getting at least 20 carries a week.
News:Tim Cornett took a team-high 25 carries for 141 yards and a touchdown in the Rebels' 17-14 loss to Northern Arizona.
Analysis:Tim Cornett remains to be the best option in the UNLV offense, receiving twelve more carries than teammate Bradley Randle and posting a respectable 5.6 yards per carry. If you take a chance on any UNLV player, Cornett is your guy.
News:Tim Cornett carried the ball a team-high 25 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns in a triple-overtime loss to Minnesota.
Analysis: Teammate Bradley Randle received only 10 carries, so it's safe to say Tim Cornett is the lead guy. Cornett averaged 5.0 yards a carry and is a decent start in a number of formats if he continues to hold off Randle.
News: UNLV running back Tim Cornett was about the only positive in the loss to San Diego State, rushing for 136 yards and two scores on 15 carries.
Analysis: Cornett has had an up-and-down season, much like the hard-luck Rebels, but showed he is capable of carrying a nice load in the running game.
News: UNLV freshman running back Dionza Bradford continues to be a revelation for the Rebels -- and one of the only bright lights from last week's loss to previously winless New Mexico. Bradford had 152 yards on 20 carries in the loss.
Analysis: Bradford has teamed with Tim Cornett and Bradley Randle to form a fairly potent three-headed running back committee. Bradford seems to have the biggest upside, but the three have taken turns being the top dog this season. Look for Bradford to get more run as the season winds down.
News: UNLV starting running back Tim Cornett has been suspended for the Boise State game for disciplinary reasons, according to a press release on the UNLV website.
Analysis: Cornett is one of five Rebels who have been suspended, joining LB Tani Maki, MLB Princeton Jackson and two others. Cornett leads the team with 5.5 ypc and four scores, but has found himself being used less and less in the last few games.
News: UNLV running back Tim Cornett had a pair of second quarter touchdown runs in the loss to Wyoming
Analysis: Cornett finished the game with only eight carries for 25 yards and may have picked up an injury at one point as he was third on the team in carries in this game.
News: UNLV running back Tim Cornett punished the Hawaii defense Saturday, taking 11 carries for 106 yards and two scores, including an 80-yard lightning bolt in the first quarter.
Analysis: Cornett has been looking for this type of outing since the season began, so it's good to see him get off the schneid with this one. The one troubling aspect is that in his 10 other carries outside of the 80-yarder, he only got 26 yards.
News: UNLV running back Tim Cornett had a modest game on the ground with 10 carries for 42 yards, but also had a nice special teams play -- a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to account for all of UNLV's scoring.
Analysis: Cornett can be excused for the low rushing total, but his return for a score demonstrates his ability to turn something simple into a score. He'll have better days as the Rebel offense improves.
News: UNLV running back Bradley Randle was named the team's No. 2 back behind starter Tim Cornett.
Analysis: The battle for the spot behind Cornett was hotly contested and now that Randle has the job, expect him to get some touches early on for the Rebels.
News: UNLV starting running back Tim Cornett is hoping to build off a solid freshman season of a year ago. He battled his way up the depth chart to become the starter midway through the season, rushing for more than 500 yards and scoring eight total touchdowns.
Analysis: A 190-pounder a year ago, Cornett has bulked up to more than 200 pounds and has been much more physical so far in fall camp -- effectively bouncing off tacklers much better than he did a year ago. The speed is still there and it bodes well for a big year from him that he'll be the main guy from the start of the season.
News: Cornett ran for 69 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries against Air Force Thursday.
Analysis: MWC-only league owners probably need to start Cornett against San Diego State, but anyone else is probably asking for trouble.
News: Cornett carried 21 times for 71 yards and three touchdowns and added a 12-yard reception as UNLV routed Wyoming Saturday.
Analysis: Despite Saturday's strong effort, Cornett has no fantasy value at this point.
News: Cornett rushed 13 times for 47 yards as UNLV was routed by BYU Saturday.
Analysis: Cornett gets plenty of touches in UNLV's offense, but he still cannot be counted on to produce solid numbers.
News: Cornett rushed 11 times for 26 yards as UNLV suffered a blowout loss to TCU Saturday.
Analysis: Cornett's production has been very inconsistent all year long. He shouldn't have any fantasy value going forward this season.
News: Cornett rushed 17 times for 74 yards and a touchdown in UNLV's loss to Colorado State Saturday.
Analysis: Cornett's production has been extremely inconsistent this season. Until he strings together a few strong outings, don't consider him a fantasy option.
