SDSU's Dingwell Forces Five Turnovers in Bowl Loss
News:Adam Dingwell completed only 12-of-29 passes for 144 yards to go along with three interceptions and two fumbles in Thursday's 23-6 loss to BYU in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl.
Analysis:Adam Dingwell is a sophomore and is surely not a lock for the starting job next season. After taking over for the injured senior Ryan Katz, Dingwell threw for only 939 yards in six games. His touchdown to interception ratio wasn't much better with eight scores and seven picks.
News:Adam Dingwell completed 19-of-24 passes for 164 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Saturday's 42-28 win over Wyoming.
Analysis:Adam Dingwell hasn't put up huge numbers for the Aztecs, but he has played smart football while filling in for starter Ryan Katz. There's no reason to think that the sophomore won't receive significant playing time next season.
SDSU's Dingwell Throws a Touchdown in Win Over Air Force
News:Adam Dingwell completed 11-of-18 passes for 90 yards, a touchdown and interception in a Saturday's 28-9 win over Air Force.
Analysis: For the second game in a row, Adam Dingwell failed to impress, but it was mostly due to the Aztecs not needing him much. San Diego State has a bye next week, so steer away from Dingwell for now.
SDSU's Dingwell Hands the Ball Off A Lot Against Boise State
News:Adam Dingwell completed 12-of-18 passes for 105 yards and threw an interception in a 21-19 win over Boise State.
Analysis: In order for the Aztecs to pull off the upset on the Blue Turf, the gameplan was to stuff it down Boise State's throat with the run-game. Meaning Adam Dingwell didn't need to pass it very much. Next week's opponent, Air Force, struggles against the run so expect much of the same with Dingwell.
SDSU's Dingwell Throws for Two Scores in Win Over UNLV
News:Adam Dingwell went 13-of-26 for 231 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in a 24-14 win over UNLV on Saturday.
Analysis:Adam Dingwell started his first game of his career and had a decent day, but not a good one. With Boise State up next on the schedule, avoid putting him in your starting line-up.
News:Adam Dingwell completed 14 of his 23 passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns in a 39-38 win over Nevada on Saturday.
Analysis:Adam Dingwell was forced into action when starter Ryan Katz broke his ankle in the first quarter. For Dingwell to come in and throw the winning touchdown and two-point conversion in overtime says a lot about the kid. If he can continue to gain confidence in the Aztec's offense, he could have more fantasy value than his teammate Katz.
