News:Deonte Welch will have a chance to have a bigger place in the Bull offense with Sterlin Griffin out, according to the Tampa Bay Tribune.
Analysis:Deonte Welch has had one reception in each of USF's first two games, but both have been for more than 20 yards. Welch had 31 receptions for 433 yards as a freshman and replaced Griffin nicely at the end of 2011. He could be worth a flyer in Big East-only leagues.
News: USF wide receiver Deonte Welch was one of the players to step up with Sterling Griffin going down, catching five passes for a team-high 130 yards in the loss to Cincinnati. Andre Davis added four receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown and tight end Evan Landi caught three passes for 51 yards.
Analysis: The Bulls have had solid depth at receiver this season, but outside of Griffin there had been production issues. With the bye week and Griffin's injury, maybe other guys can step up and earn more opportunities to shine.
