News:Justin Hardy caught 16 passes for 171 yards against Marshall on Friday.
Analysis: While he didn't score a touchdown in this game, he solidified his status as QB Shane Carden's No. 1 target going into 2013. Only a sophomore, he'll have two more seasons to grow with Carden as they form one of the more formidable QB/WR duos in C-USA. Expect him to be one of the more sought after WRs by fantasy owners in 2013.

News:Justin Hardy caught four passes for 25 yards at North Carolina on Saturday.
Analysis: Through four games Justin Hardy leads the team in catches (23), receiving yards per game (66.5), and TDs (3). This would be great for fantasy owners and Hardy, but unfortunately East Carolina doesn't have an effective QB right now.
East Carolina's Hardy Finds End Zone for Third-Straight Game
News:Justin Hardy caught five passes for 92 yards with a touchdown at Southern Miss on Saturday.
Analysis: With a touchdown in three-straight games, Justin Hardy is quickly becoming the lone WR on this East Carolina team that fantasy owners should trust. He's certainly worth a look if he isn't owned at this time.
News:Justin Hardy caught a team-high eight passes for 111 yards with a touchdown at South Carolina on Saturday.
Analysis:Justin Hardy scored his touchdown early in the fourth quarter, in what was a blowout loss for East Carolina. This is now back-to-back games in which Hardy has scored. Next week at Southern Miss, he is one of the few East Carolina players with positive momentum. Owners should look to pick him up in deeper leagues.
News:Justin Hardy caught a team high six passes for 38 yards and a touchdown in the season opener against Appalachian State.
Analysis: The team's top returning WR, Justin Hardy is a possession receiver and it's not that surprising to see him have such a low yardage total. At South Carolina in the team's next game, Hardy is not a recommended fantasy play.

Analysis: Hardy is a playmaker and is line for a major fantasy bump in 2012 as a sophmore.

Analysis: Hardy is a reliable WR3/flex play in all formats next week against Marshall.

Analysis: With Lance Lewis out, Hardy is ECU's top receiving fantasy option.
News: ECU star receiver Lance Lewis has already been ruled out for this week's game against UTEP with his foot injury.
Analysis: Tough blow for Lewis owners but at least we have this news on Tuesday. Justin Hardy should have a nice game in his absence.
News: If he is somehow free in your league, go grab receiver Justin Hardy, who returned from injury for ECU and snagged seven balls including a touchdown.
Analysis: With news that Lance Lewis is still battling a foot injury, there may be more targets for Hardy, which would lock him into a WR3 value player.
News:Justin Hardy returned from injury to catch seven balls for 64 yards and a score in the team's loss to USM.
Analysis: Hardy is now startable again and can be counted on as a solid WR3.
News: One player to keep an eye on is ECU wide receiver Reese Wiggins, who caught a career-high five passes against Tulane, totaling 75 yards.
Analysis: Wiggins may play a key role in the ECU showdown with Southern Miss as Justin Jones and Justin Hardy are questionable at best. Wiggins is a desperation flex play.
News: Updating a previous story, ECU wide receiver Justin Hardy will miss a few weeks after a fluke injury suffered during practice last week.
Analysis: Hardy is having a solid season, but can be dropped in all formats now. Expect Danny Webster to take over his role.

Analysis: There were no reports of an issue before the game, but he was not listed on the game's participation report.

Analysis: Hardy remains a solid flex player and solid WR3 during bye weeks.

Analysis: Hardy continues to get his catches and should be a solid WR3 next week against Memphis.
News: ECU wide receiver Justin Jones made his season debut against UNC, but he did not record a catch.
Analysis: Jones is stuck behind Lance Lewis, Justin Hardy and Danny Webster right now, but given the wide open nature of the offense, expect him to get it going before too long.
News: Wide receiver Michael Bowman's disappointing season continued Saturday as he only caught four balls for 32 yards in the team's loss.
Analysis: Bowman has been passed on the depth chart by Justin Hardy and Danny Webster. He should be cut in all formats.
News: ECU wide receiver Justin Jones is back at practice, but is still very limited as he recovers from a knee injury.
Analysis: It is definitely possible he could play this week, however the coaching staff has said it will not rush him back into action just because the opponent is UNC. Continue to start Lance Lewis and Justin Hardy.
News:Justin Hardy should be picked up in all formats as he had another productive day, catching seven passes for 90 yards and a score.
Analysis: It seems like Hardy is slowly becoming a solid weekly receiver and is a good WR3 in all formats.
News: There remains no timetable for the return of ECU wide receiver Justin Jones as he rehabs a knee injury.
Analysis: With Lance Lewis, Michael Bowman and Justin Hardy the ECU receiving corps is doing just fine without him. Jones will fight for reps upon his return but should be on waivers for now.
News:Lance Lewis (14 catches) and Justin Hardy (11) became the first Pirates to have at least 10 receptions in the same game in more than four decades last weekend in their loss to South Carolina.
Analysis: Despite being one of the hottest names on the waiver wire after week one, Hardy is a bench play this weekend with the return of Michael Bowman and their matchup against Virginia Tech. If he can duplicate the week one performance, Hardy will be an every week play going forward.
News: East Carolina coach Ruffin McNeil confirmed that wide receiver Justin Jones will not return for the Pirates this weekend.
Analysis: Jones will be out multiple weeks after suffering a leg injury. With the return of Michael Bowman, in addition to Lance Lewis and Justin Hardy being in the mix, Jones is falling down the depth chart quickly.
News: East Carolina receiver Justin Hardy became a name you should be aware of Saturday after hauling in 10 passes for 101 yards and a score in a loss to South Carolina.
Analysis: Despite Michael Bowman coming back next week, Hardy remains a must add in fantasy leagues, but do not expect the same production next week against Virginia Tech.
News: With the suspension to Michael Bowman, ECU plans to start Andrew Bodenheimer, Danny Webster and Justin Hardy will start with Lance Lewis at receiver.
Analysis: If you are looking for a hail mary play Bodenheimer is the way to go because he is their best possession receiver, so even if the Pirates fall behind early, he may rack up catches coming back. Outside of Lewis however, no wide receiver for ECU are recommended.
News: With the suspension of Michael Bowman for their opener against South Carolina, ECU will start true freshman Danny Webster in his place.
Analysis: Not only will Webster make the start, Justin Hardy will start in place of Justin Jones who is out indefinitely with an injury. While Lance Lewis is a must start, if you can snag Hardy for every week after this one do so. We just cannot recommend many ECU players against the Gamecocks in week one.
News: During the East Carolina scrimmage Saturday receiver Justin Hardy tallied a scrimmage-high 55 yards on five receptions.
Analysis: The Pirates need someone someone to step up to take defenses attention off of Lance Lewis, so while Michael Bowman is one name to know, Hardy is another. Keep him on your deep sleeper list and do not be surprised to see some huge games out of him during 2011.
