Fresno's Harper Hauls in a Touchdown Against Colorado State
News:Josh Harper caught one pass for 20 yards and a touchdown in a 28-7 win over Colorado State on Saturday.
Analysis:Josh Harper is limited by the vast number of weapons in the Bulldogs' offense. He could have a good game, but it won't come on a consistent basis. Keep that in mind if you take a look at him in MWC-only or deeper leagues.
Fresno's Harper Has Big Day Against San Diego State
News:Josh Harper grabbed nine balls for a team-high 120 yards and a touchdown in a 52-40 win over San Diego State.
Analysis: Teammates Davante Adams and Rashad Evans also eclipsed 100 yards receiving as quarterback Derek Carr threw for 536 yards. Even though Josh Harper had another huge game, it was slightly concerning to see Evans, who returned from a suspension, catch three touchdown passes. Evans was Carr's favorite target last season and could cause Harper's fantasy stock to take a hit.
News:Josh Harper hauled in a team-high seven catches for 115 yards and a touchdown in a 27-26 loss to Tulsa on Saturday.
Analysis: For the second week in a row, Josh Harper has caught a touchdown. He also commanded more catches than teammates Isaiah Burse and Davante Adams, increasing his fantasy value for now.
Fresno State's Harper Catches Five Balls and Scores a Touchdown
News:Josh Harper recorded five catches for 52 yards and a touchdown in a win over Colorado on Saturday.
Analysis: With teammates Davante Adams and Isaiah Burse still commanding attention from quarterback Derek Carr, Josh Harper remains a risky fantasy play.
Fresno State's Harper Catches Two Passes vs. Oregon
News:Josh Harper (hamstring) caught two passes for 23 yards during Saturday's 42-25 loss to Oregon.
Analysis:Josh Harper was the only Bulldog to haul in a reception of 20+ yards, but outside of that one play he wasn't a factor in the team's short-passing offense. Davante Adams (12) and Isaiah Burse (7) caught 19 passes, and Harper was marginalized. It's unclear whether this will be the case going forward, but for now Harper is a risky play.
News:Josh Harper missed Week 1's game against Weber State due to a hamstring injury, the Fresno Bee reports.
Analysis: It's not clear whether the injury is expected to make Josh Harper miss more time. As long as Harper's out, and perhaps even upon his return, Davante Adams looks like the top receiver and an emerging star for Fresno.
