Analysis:Michael Cummings is just a freshman and most likely the starter going into next season with Dayne Crist graduating. They'll have a lot of work to do to transform the Kansas passing game to compliment a strong rushing attack.

Analysis:Michael Cummings has been even less effective than Dayne Crist since taking over as the starter, but has been able to protect the ball at least. Still, it looks as though Crist will get the start for Kansas in the season finale against West Virginia.

Analysis: Kansas can't pass the ball and they've apparently accepted that calling four times as many running plays on Saturday. Owners should be able to find a better option than the Kansas quarterback in any league.

Analysis:Michael Cummings was unable to do anything through the air as Kansas found all of it's success on the ground yet again. Kansas will look for it's first conference win next Saturday against Texas Tech.

Analysis: Kansas apparently has accepted that it's offense is much more effective when it runs than when it passes. The team totaled 56 carries to just nine pass attempts in the 21-17 loss.
News:Michael Cummings had a rough first start against Oklahoma State but coach Charlie Weis has confirmed Cummings will get a second consecutive start this Saturday against Texas Tech, The Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis:Michael Cummings is just a redshirt freshman so there's a good chance Weis may stick with Cummings the rest of the way with Dayne Crist failing to perform as a senior. Kansas has an awful passing attack, but perhaps as Cummings gains some experience he may prove to be an option in Big 12-only leagues.

News: Ever since spring ball, Kansas quarterback Jordan Webb has kept a narrow lead over Quinn Mecham for the Jayhawks' starting job. An official decision should be made next week.
Analysis: We are getting closer and closer to week one, so a decision needs to made soon. But it has been Webb's job to lose and it appears that he hasn't lost it yet. Head coach Turner Gill was also impressed with what freshman Michael Cummings has done in a limited amount of time.
