Utah's Denham Grabs Three Catches vs. Washington State
News:Anthony Denham took three catches for 38 yards Saturday as Utah routed Washington State 49-6 at home in Salt Lake City.
Analysis:Anthony Denham grabbed his eighth, ninth and tenth reception of the year in Saturday's contest, but has just a combined 115 receiving yards to this point in the season.
News: Utah wide receiver Anthony Denham will miss some time after suffering a hamstring injury Thursday in practice. Coach Kyle Whittingham said that damage to the hamstring was more severe than originally thought and Denham will likely miss a couple weeks.
Analysis: A highly-touted JC player, Denham's injury will severely limit his ability to get acclimated quickly and become a part of the rotation early on. Still, if he can get healthy, he's got a load of talent and may yet be a productive member of the Ute receiving corps.
News: Jordan Wynn knows he has his go-to guy in DeVonte Christopher, but he is excited about the emergence of two new guys, one coming off a redshirt and another from junior college. Wynn says redshirt freshman Dres Anderson "had a great spring" while JUCO transfer Anthony Denham, at 6'4, 230 pounds, is a "specimen".
Analysis: Outside of Christopher, no returning receiver has more than 18 receptions which should allow Anderson and Denham to see some throws come their way.
