GT B-Back Laskey Losing Caries

News: Zach Laskey ran eight times for 47 yards Saturday at North Carolina.
Analysis: Lasky has just 15 carries and 69 yards in the three games since he topped 100 yards, and has seen a healthy David Sims regain a starter's load.

GT B-Back Laskey Stars Before Injury

News: Zach Laskey ran 17 times for 101 yards before departing early after aggravating his injured shoulder.
Analysis: Zach Laskey didn't return, and figures to be limited early this week in practice, at least. The Jackets face a tough BYU defense next.

GT B-Back Laskey Chugs Along

News: Zach Laskey ran 15 times for a team-high 82 yards Saturday against Miami.
Analysis: Zach Laskey wasn't limited by his shoulder, and former starter David Sims saw just one carry. He's been a nice find to date, and should continue to see his share of carries.

GT RB Laskey (Shoulder) Probable v. Miami

News: Zach Laskey is listed as probable for Saturday's game between Georgia Tech and Miami, USA Today reports.
Analysis: Zach Laskey has been dealing with an injured shoulder since the second half of last week's game against Virginia, but is expected to bring his productive style of play back to the Yellow Jackets' backfield versus Miami. In two starts, he's run for 159 yards and a touchdown and last week, Laskey took a 70-yard catch and run for a score in the opening quarter against the Cavaliers.

Georgia Tech's Laskey Practicing With Sore Shoulder

News: Zach Laskey was held out of the second half of last week's win over Virginia with an injured shoulder, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. He was kept out of contact drills Tuesday, but is expected to play Saturday against Miami.
Analysis: It looks like he'll start again at the B-back running back spot ahead of David Sims and Broderick Snoddy.

GT B-Back Laskey Nets 113 Total Yards

News: Zach Laskey ran nine times for 43 yards, and caught one pass for 70 yards and a touchdown Saturday against Virginia.
Analysis: The former safety saw his carries limited by the scoreboard. David Sims remains sidelined, making Zach Laskey a sneaky option moving forward.

GT's Laskey Hurts Shoulder

News: Zach Laskey left Saturday's game against Virginia due to a shoulder injury, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Broderick Snoddy entered the game for the Jackets' starting RB this weekend. No matter, Zach Laskey's return is probable.

GT B-Back Laskey to Start Again

News: Zach Laskey will start Saturday's game against Virginia according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Analysis: Zach Laskey had an impressive 12 carries for 116 yards and a touchdown against Presbyterian, including a 56-yard scamper. He'll find the sledding much tougher this week, but with an impressive performance, Laskey could put some distance between himself and the injured David Sims.

GT's Laskey to Make First Career Start

News: Zach Laskey will start in place of David Sims on Saturday against Presbyterian, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Analysis: Zach Laskey showed some toughness between the tackles last Monday at Virginia Tech, and is a reasonable bet to find the endzone this week against the FCS opponent. With Sims out, and Charles Perkins forever in head coach Paul Johnson's doghouse, Laskey could flirt with 15 or so touches.

Jackets' RB Laskey leaps Perkins on Depth Chart

News: Zach Laskey is listed as the second-team B-Back on the team's new depth chart, notes the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Analysis: Starting B-Back David Sims has seen very little of the field this fall while aggravating a stress fracture injury. Zach Laskey can now be taken in the last round of ACC heavy drafts as he could potentially be stealing Sims' job.

Jacket RB Laskey Stars in Scrimmage

News: Zach Laskey stood out in the first scrimmage of fall camp, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Analysis: No stats were released, but head coach Paul Johnson was impressed, stating that Zach Laskey is "definitely" pushing Charles Perkins for the second spot on the B-Back depth chart. It's interesting that there is no mention of David Sims (stress fracture surgery) losing his starting role here. Sims plodded his way to seven scores last year, and it seems as though Laskey has a bit more playmaking potential. Add Laskey to your deep sleeper list for now, and monitor this situation for the next few weeks; it could get interesting.
