Nevada's Combs Fills in and Has Good Game

News: Devin Combs completed 14 of his 19 passes for 167 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while also adding 111 yards and another touchdown on 19 carries in a 42-37 win over UNLV on Saturday.
Analysis: Devin Combs received the start because Cody Fajardo is dealing with a back injury. The Wolf Pack started out slow, but it was Combs who really provided the spark in a comeback win. Fajardo was a game-time decision, so don't be surprised if Combs is back on the bench for Nevada's game with San Diego State next week.

Nevada's Combs Forced to Lead Wolfpack to Win

News: Devin Combs completed 11-of-19 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-28 overtime win over Wyoming on Saturday.
Analysis: Devin Combs was forced into action after starting quarterback Cody Fajardo left the game in the fourth quarter with back spasms. Combs took full advantage of the opportunity while tying the game in the fourth quarter on a 44-yard touchdown to Richy Turner with 1:18 left to go. He followed those heroics with a 24-yard strike in overtime to win the game for Nevada. It's not currently known if Fajardo's back injury is serious, so stay tuned as Combs could be a decent pick-up if Fajardo is forced to miss time.
