Analysis: Much of Nick Sherry's production can be attributed to trying to keep up with Louisiana Tech's high-scoring offense. He still failed to complete at least half of his throws and is a suspect fantasy starter at best.

Analysis: Through five games, Nick Sherry has had only two games where he's completing more than 60 percent of his passes. He now has thrown just as many interceptions (6) as touchdowns (6) and should be avoided on a fantasy front.

News:Nick Sherry completed 33-of-49 throws for 351 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in a loss to Washington State on Friday.
Analysis: In Nick Sherry's first two games the freshman threw one touchdown compared to three interceptions. Against Washington State, he flipped those stats in a game UNLV fell behind early. With the UNLV offense improving each week, Sherry could be a matchup play against opponents with bad defenses.
UNLV's Sherry Underwhelms in Loss to Northern Arizona

Analysis: Two games now and Nick Sherry hasn't done much to help his fantasy value. Look somewhere else for a quarterback.
News:Nick Sherry had a tough time trying to figure out Minnesota while going 16-of-35 for 116 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions in a 30-27 loss.
Analysis: The freshman probably wishes he could have a redo on his first college start because his three interceptions were ugly. His third interception occurred in the third overtime, setting up the Gophers for the 30-27 win. At this point, there are better quarterbacks available than Nick Sherry for your fantasy team.
Nick Sherry Named Starting Quarterback of the Rebels
News: Coach Bobby Hauck named Nick Sherry the starting quarterback on Tuesday according to the Las Vegas Sun.
Analysis: The true freshman Nick Sherry beat out last year's starter, Caleb Herring who now will serve as the second string quarterback. Sherry brings a much more dynamic skill-set to the Rebels offense and has taken the majority of the first-team snaps during training camp. It's also worth noting that UNLV quarterbacks only passed for 1,315 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2011, so be cautious when considering Sherry for fantasy purposes.
News: Redshirt freshman Nick Sherry remains in the running for the starting quarterback position according to Mark Anderson of the Las Vegas Review Journal.
Analysis:Nick Sherry is battling junior signal caller Caleb Herring for the job. During a scrimmage on Saturday, Sherry had a horrific start while completing only one of his first eight passes including an interception. However, he rebounded to end the day, 7 of 16 for 93 yards and a touchdown. Head coach Bobby Hauck said he could name a starter if he had to, but will most likely wait to see a little more out of Sherry and Herring on Wednesday.
