OU's Metoyer Needs More Looks

News: Trey Metoyer will look to get more catches this Saturday against an undefeated Texas Tech.
Analysis: Trey Metoyer is going to remain a third or fourth option for the Sooners, he's probably not going to be a factor for owners in most leagues.

OU's Metoyer Held to Three Catches

News: Trey Metoyer had just three catches for 39 yards in a loss Saturday to Kansas State.
Analysis: Trey Metoyer appeared to be hurt after taking a hard hit on a quick pass over the middle early in the game. He'll have two weeks to recover if necessary as the Sooners are off next weekend.

Oklahoma's Metoyer Has Four Catches

News: Trey Metoyer finished Saturday's 24-7 win at UTEP with four catches for 20 yards.

Metoyer Playing for Role

News: Trey Metoyer, who is only a freshman, could help his chances of getting regular playing time this season with a solid game against UTEP this weekend.
Analysis: With Jaz Reynolds still suspended from games Trey Metoyer will start on the outside with transfer Justin Brown, with Kenny Stills moving to the slot. He will need to perform well to remain a solid option when Reynolds returns.

Stock Sinking For Oklahoma's Metoyer?

News: The reinstatement of Jaz Reynolds and the transfer of Penn State receiver Justin Brown will likely harm Trey Metoyer's fantasy value in 2012.
Analysis: Trey Metoyer is almost definitely the most talented of the three by a significant margin, but both Reynolds and Brown are noteworthy players in their own right and have lots of experience. Reynolds in particular may be an obstacle to Metoyer after catching 41 passes for 715 yards and five touchdowns in just 10 games last year. Metoyer is probably still worth owning in Big 12-only leagues, but outside of them he's quite a gamble at this point.
