Creer loses redshirt, plays for Colorado

News: Colorado freshman running back Malcolm Creer will not redshirt after all. With the injury to starter Rodney Stewart, Creer, a highly touted recruit, had his redshirt lifted and returned the first kickoff for Colorado against Oregon.
Analysis: The plan is for Creer to get about 15 touches today, but if he can get it rolling, he may see more. He's Colorado's biggest and most powerful back, so he has a chance to establish himself a little in his first game as a collegian.

Stewart has knee sprain, out a while

News: Colorado do-everything running back Rodney Stewart suffered a sprained knee in Saturday's game. Coach Jon Embree said Stewart will be out "a while."
Analysis: Figure two to three weeks depending on the severity of the sprain -- possibly more. With Stewart out, redshirt freshman Tony Jones, who played well Saturday, will likely see more of the ball, along with third-year sophomore Josh Ford. Another intriguing development is the likelihood that highly-touted freshman Malcolm Creer will have the redshirt taken off. Stay tuned.
