News:Darrin Reaves rushed for 69 yards on 21 carries with two touchdowns against East Carolina on Saturday. He also caught two passes for 27 yards.
Analysis: Over his last four games, Darrin Reaves has six touchdowns as he leads the team in carries (95) and rushing yards per game (50.7) on the season. At Tulane this coming Saturday, he is a recommended start in all leagues as he'll be facing a defense that ranks 3rd worst in the nation in terms of yards allowed per game (249.7).
News:Darrin Reaves rushed for 42 yards on 10 carries and caught three passes for 15 yards at Houston on Saturday.
Analysis: This is one of Darrin Reaves' weaker games this season as he did not go over 100 total yards or reach the end zone, something he accomplished in his three previous games.
UAB's Reaves Goes Over 100 Yards, Scores Against Southeastern Louisiana
News:Darrin Reaves rushed for 53 yards on 14 carries with one touchdown and caught three passes for 57 yards against Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday.
Analysis: This is the second game in which Darrin Reaves has gone over 100 total yards and his second consecutive game in which he has reached the end zone. For the season he leads the team in carries (64), rushing yards per game (48.8), and rushing TDs (four).
News:Darrin Reaves rushed for 61 yards on 16 carries with three touchdowns and caught a seven-yard pass against Tulsa on Saturday.
Analysis: After not reaching the end zone through three games, Darrin Reaves completed the feat three times in this game. This coupled with his 100 total yards at Ohio State last week, has his fantasy production arrow pointed up. Look for him to find a way to contribute to the offense yet again this coming Saturday against the lower division Southeastern Louisiana.
UAB's Reaves Goes Over 100 Total Yards at Ohio State
News:Darrin Reaves rushed for 72 yards on 16 carries and caught seven passes for 42 yards at Ohio State on Saturday.
Analysis: Through three games Darrin Reaves is averaging 43.3 yards per game rushing with no touchdowns on the season. As UAB's schedule starts to soften, Reaves' numbers should go up. However it might not happen this coming Saturday as Tulsa's run defense has allowed a C-USA low 3.32 yards per carry this season.
News:Darrin Reaves rushed for 10 yards on seven carries at South Carolina on Saturday.
Analysis: Look up zero in the dictionary and you'll see a photo of the UAB run game as they rushed the ball 42 times as a team and only came up with 27 yards. At Ohio State, none of the UAB RBs have any fantasy value.
News:Darrin Reaves rushed for a team high 48 yards on 11 carries and caught two passes for eight yards against Troy.
Analysis: He split carries with QB Johnathan Perry and RB Dontavius Jackson as the run game was slow to get on track for UAB. Until he has the majority of carries all to himself, Darrin Reaves doesn't hold much fantasy value.
News: UAB is likely to start camp and possibly the season with a committee at RB, the Birmingham News reports.
Analysis:Darrin Reaves joins Greg Franklin, Bashr Coles, and Dontavius Jackson in what is likely to be a RB by committee situation that will drain all of their fantasy values. Fantasy owners should stay away from this situation until further notice.
News:Darrin Reaves and Greg Franklin did little in the loss to FAU as neither topped 40 yards or found the end zone.
Analysis: Both are decent options for 2012, as this is a battle to watch entering next year.
News: If you are looking for two hail mary RB2 or RB3 plays this week look no further than UAB running backs Greg Franklin and Darrin Reaves.
Analysis: The pair combined for 147 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns in the team’s 34-31 win over Southern Miss last Thursday. Both should find the end zone against FAU this weekend, but we would recommend Franklin a bit more.
News: Running back Darrin Reaves had a solid game for UAB, rushing for 62 yards and a score against USM.
Analysis: Despite the solid stats and a plus matchup against FAU next weekend, he is bench material at best.
News:Darrin Reaves struggled against Houston, rushing just seven times for 34 yards in the UAB loss.
Analysis: If Pat Shed misses another game, he may be worth a hail mary flier next week against Memphis.
News:Pat Shed, who has missed the last two games with a knee injury, was not listed on the Oct. 29 team depth chart that was included in the weekly game notes for the Nov. 5 game against Houston.
Analysis: What a disappointing year for one of the best dual-threat backs in the country. Darrin Reaves will continue to start in place.
News: UAB running back Darrin Reaves rushed for 55 yards and a score against Marshall.
Analysis: Reaves started for Pat Shed and did alright. Considering the blowout that will happen next week against Houston, he is not a worthy addition to your team.
News: UAB running back Pat Shed will miss his second straight game this weekend against Marshall with a knee injury.
Analysis: Shed hurt his left knee late in the first half of the loss at Tulsa on October 15. Darrin Reaves will likely get the majority of carries, but should not be played in any format.
News: Running back Pat Shed missed the UAB win over UCF with a knee injury suffered in a game against Tulsa. It is unclear how long Shed will be out.
Analysis: Shed has had a truly disappointing season. If you are desperate, Darrin Reaves appears to be the player to own to replace Shed.
