Utah's Wilson Throws TD in Win Over Colorado

News: Travis Wilson completed 13-of-25 passing for 128 yards and a touchdown and carried three times for 17 yards and an additional score Friday as Utah edged out Colorado 42-35 on the road in Boulder.
Analysis: Utah's freshman passer ends the 2012 regular season on a high note, completing 41-of-65 passing for 439 yards and three touchdowns and rushing nine times for 26 yards and a fourth score in the span of his final two starts.

Utah's Wilson Sees Best Numbers of Season vs. Arizona

News: Travis Wilson completed 28-of-40 passing for 311 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as Utah fell to Arizona 34-24 at home in Salt Lake City.
Analysis: Travis Wilson put up the best passing numbers of his young career Saturday, but did so against an Arizona Wildcats secondary ranked last in the Pac-12 in pass defense. Regardless, expect similar numbers for Wilson next Friday at Colorado, a defensive unit that's given up a league-worst 38 touchdowns through the air this season.

Utah's Wilson - Terrible Performance Against Washington

News: Travis Wilson completed just 8-of-23 passes for 55 yards and an interception Saturday as Utah fell to Washington 34-15 at home in Salt Lake City.
Analysis: Any ground Travis Wilson might have gained as a developing passer in last weekend's win over Washington State went out the window this Saturday against the Huskies, leaving him with his worst overall passing performance since taking over as starting quarterback for Utah back in mid-October.

Utah's Wilson Slightly Better in Win Over Washington State

News: Travis Wilson completed 17-of-21 passing for 171 yards, two touchdowns and an interception Saturday as Utah routed Washington State 49-6 at home in Salt Lake City.
Analysis: Saturday ended up being arguably Travis Wilson's best showing under center since taking over for Jon Hays four weeks ago, with an efficiency rating of 171.3 the freshman's highest as a starting passer for the Utes. All said and done, however, Wilson still has a long ways to go before proving a legitimate option for fantasy owners.

Utah's Wilson Completes 16-of-24 Passing in Third-Start

News: Travis Wilson completed 16-of-24 passing for 156 yards and an interception Saturday as Utah downed California 49-27 at home in Salt Lake City.
Analysis: Saturday represented the freshman's third-straight start for Utah, but earned Travis Wilson his lowest overall production as the team's No. 1 passer yet. Fortunately for the Utes, John White IV posted his first 100-yard game as a rusher since Utah's season-opener versus Northern Colorado.

Utah's Wilson Struggles Yet Again, This Time Against Oregon St.

News: Travis Wilson completed 15-of-28 passing for 172 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions Saturday as Utah fell to Oregon State 21-7 on the road in Corvallis.
Analysis: Travis Wilson continued to struggle for a second-straight game as Utah's starter under center, and left Saturday's loss telling the Associated Press, "I take the whole blame on me tonight. I should've played smart with the football and made better plays." Watch to see if head coach Kyle Whittingham makes a switch back to veteran John Hays heading into next weekend's match up with California.

Utah's Wilson Struggles in First Start

News: Travis Wilson completed 23-of-33 passing for 220 yards and an interception in his first-ever start Saturday as Utah was edged out by UCLA 21-14 on the road in Pasadena.
Analysis: Utes head coach Kyle Whittingham wanted to shake things up this week after a lack of offensive production against USC the previous Thursday, and did so by anointing the freshman from Orange County, California his team's starting quarterback heading into Saturday's game with UCLA. Unfortunately, things got off to a bad start for Travis Wilson, with the Bruins' Andrew Abott intercepting a tipped pass on Utah's opening offensive possession. Then, with under four minutes remaining in the game, Wilson rushed inside UCLA's 1-yard line, setting the Utes up to score their first offensive touchdown. The freshman had his helmet knocked off on the run, however, and subsequently was forced to watch from the sidelines as John Hays hit Dres Anderson for a score on the very next play.

Wilson Starting For Utah

News: Travis Wilson will start against UCLA on Saturday, Los Angeles Times writer Chris Foster reports.
Analysis: Travis Wilson has shown some upside as a runner, so if he has the passing aspect of his game on track he could emerge as a fantasy factor. He's a player worth monitoring Saturday.

Utah QB Wilson Looks Impressive in Collegiate Debut Backing Up Wynn

News: Travis Wilson, subbing in for Utah starting quarterback Jordan Wynn Thursday as the Utes downed Northern Colorado 41-0 in their 2012 season opener, completed two passes, ran for 15 yards on seven carries and scored two rushing touchdowns in his collegiate debut.
Analysis: Travis Wilson is a highly touted freshman that some said was close to unseating Jordan Wynn as Utah's starter under center this season. For now, Wynn remains in control of the Utes offense, but should he struggle, fantasy owners - especially those in keeper leagues - would be wise to pounce on Wilson.
