Mizzou's DGB Having Disappointing Freshman Campaign

Analysis:Dorial Green-Beckham has just seven catches for 128 yards and a touchdown, while also missing a game due to suspension stemming from an arrest for suspicion of possession of marijuana. The freshman certainly has not been helped by the Tigers' quarterback struggles as well. The freshman has all the physical tools, but he might have some growing up to do before reaching his potential.

Analysis: DGB scored on a dazzling 65-yard touchdown reception in Mizzou's final scrimmage last week. "He's got some of Maclin in him with the speed, he's got some Danario in him with the size," [offensive coordinator David] Yost [said]. "You want to use that to the best of his ability." Though technically not listed as a starter for the Tigers, the dynamic freshman will see plenty of action right out of the gate.

News:Dorial Green-Beckham received reps at tight end Thursday, Columbia Daily Tribune writer Dave Matter reports.
Analysis: DGB is mostly getting the reps because actual tight end Sean Culkin is out 2-to-3 weeks with a broken finger, but this is still a good thing to see. Missouri makes heavy use of its tight ends and slot targets in general, and the immensely gifted Dorial Green-Beckham is getting groomed for a perhaps immediate role at those spots. We're going to upgrade his projections slightly in light of this, though Culkin is expected to be back at tight end around the season opener.
