Seahawks' Kam Chancellor on losing Super Bowl: We're more driven
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(1:52 pm ET) With the way the Seahawks lost last season's Super Bowl, safety Kam Chancellor said the loss has provided motivation to work even harder this offseason, reports The Seattle Times.

"I've seen guys out here busting their tails, the whole offseason going fast-tempo," he said. "Guys are lifting like crazy. It's just like the mindset is just sharpened. It just sharpened even more. We're more focused, more driven. We're just hungry for the first game of the year."

Colts sign first-round pick Phillip Dorsett on Wednesday
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(1:46 pm ET) The Colts agreed to terms with first-round pick Phillip Dorsett on Wednesday, the team announced.

Dorsett was the 29th overall pick in the 2015 draft. Dorsett played four years for the University of Miami and totaled 121 receptions, 2,132 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Steelers' James Harrison on retirement: 'You can't play forever'
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(1:37 pm ET) With Steelers linebacker James Harrison about to enter his 13th NFL season, Harrison knows his time in the league may be ending soon, reports the team's official website.

"It's a young man's game," he said. "You can't play it forever. You have to be grateful for the time that you get and move on from there."

Harrison briefly retired after the 2013 season before returning to play in 2014. He said he has come to realize that change is a constant in the NFL.

"Each year is a new era because you have a new set of guys," Harrison said. "No defense comes in with the same group of guys year in and year out from every position. I think each year is a new group, new era."

Giants' Coughlin says Pugh headed to G before Beatty injury
by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer
(1:36 pm ET) The injury to tackle Will Beatty put the Giants' offensive line in a state of flux, but coach Tom Coughlin said the decision to move tackle Justin Pugh to guard was already made before the injury occurred, per the Daily News

Coughlin labeled Pugh's move as an "experiment," but added the change was made with "full intent" to keep him at the position.

Pugh, the Giants' first-round pick in 2013, played 14 games at right tackle last year.

Vikings' Zimmer says Peterson 'can either play for us or not play'
by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer
(1:23 pm ET) Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said he isn't worried about disgruntled running back Adrian Peterson's absence from OTAs, saying that Peterson "can either play for us or not play."

Peterson has been steadfast in his desire to leave Minnesota and the Vikings have been equally resolute in keeping the All-Pro running back in the fold. The stalemate figures to go on for quite a while, but Zimmer is focusing his energies elsewhere.

"I'm not worried about it," he said. "I got 89 guys out here I'm coaching and trying to get better."

Peterson is frustrated with management in Minnesota for not showing him support through his legal case for child abuse. Peterson has not participated in any offseason activities so far, but skipping workouts will cost him $250,000 in bonuses if he does not attend 90 percent of OTAs and minicamps.

Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick participates in Wednesday's OTA practice
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(1:14 pm ET) For the first time since suffering a broken leg last season, Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was participating in team drills during Wednesday's OTA practice, reports the Associated Press.

Fitzpatrick is expected to compete with Geno Smith for the starting quarterback role during training camp. However, Coach Todd Bowles said Fitzpatrick still needs to get more healthy and improve the velocity on his throws.

by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer
(1:14 pm ET) The Ravens made a linebacker swap Wednesday, cutting undrafted rookie Trey DePriest and signing Andrew Bose , per ESPN.com.

Bose, an undrafted rookie from Rhode Island, was released by the Ravens less than two weeks ago to free up a roster spot for the recently acquired Kyle Arrington.

Bears RB Matt Forte has no desire to hold out over contract
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(1:00 pm ET) Despite being in the last year of his contract and wanting to sign an extension before the season starts, Bears running back Matt Forte said Wednesday he has no plans to hold out, reports ESPNChicago.com.

Forte attended the team's OTA practice Wednesday, but he would prefer to sign a contract extension.

"Nobody likes playing on a one-year deal, "he said.

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(12:49 pm ET) Giants defensive end Robert Ayers was carted off the field during Wednesday's OTA practice with an apparent leg injury, reports Newsday. Ayers was seen favoring his left leg before being taken off the field in a cart.

After the OTA, coach Tom Coughlin said Ayers injured his ankle and knee, but the severity is not known, reports the New York Daily News.

Jaguars sign second-round pick RB T.J. Yeldon
by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer
(12:49 pm ET) Rookie running back T.J. Yeldon signed a four-year deal with the Jaguars, the team announced Wednesday, as the second-round pick prepared to take part in team OTAs.

Yeldon has a good shot at making an immediate impact in a Jaguars backfield that features Denard Robinson and Toby Gerhart as the top rushers. Yeldon racked up more than 3,300 yards and scored 37 touchdowns during his career at Alabama.
