Injury report reveals Colts in good shape outside secondary
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
(11/1/13) Aside from injuries that have sidelined secondary starters Delano Howell (neck) and Greg Toler (groin), the Colts are relatively healthy as they await their Sunday clash in Houston.
The only other player out is backup defensive back Josh Gordy (groin). Linebacker Cam Johnson (knee) and wideout Darrius Heyward-Bey (groin) are questionable while center Samson Satele (knee) and linebacker Bjoern Werner (foot) are probable.
Colts rack up five sacks in loss
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
(9/15/13) The Colts' defense shored up after a poor start Sunday in Week 2 against the Dolphins, but it was not enough in a 24-20 loss.
The Dolphins racked up 398 yards of total offense, and the Colts had little answer for their passing game. Despite the Colts' five sacks as a team, Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill was still able to pass for 319 yards and a touchdown.
Besides the sacks, the Colts did not come up with a ton of big plays in the game. They forced just one turnover despite three forced fumbles, and the special teams unit barely made a dent.
The Colts DST unit has been solid but unspectacular through the first two games of the season, and things are unlikely to get much better in Week 3. The Colts head to San Francisco next Sunday.
Collins' season over
(10/25/11) Indianapolis placed QB Kerry Collins on season-ending injured reserve as he continues to be hampered by a concussion. Collins, who began the season as the team's starter in place of Peyton Manning, suffered a head injury in Week 3 against Pittsburgh and has not played since. He finished with a lowly 49 percent completion percentage as he failed to top 200 passing yards in either of his three games this season.
Collins still out of action
(10/23/11) Colts QB Kerry Collins was inactive for a fourth straight game on Sunday against the Saints. He continues deal with concussions symptoms.
Collins inactive a third game
(10/16/11) Colts QB Kerry Collins (concussion) was ruled inactive for Week 6 at Cincinnati. It is the third game he is sitting idle.
