Preseason Outlook

Collins' season over: Indianapolis placed QB Kerry Collins on season-ending injured reserve as he continues to be hampered by a concussion. Collins, who began the season as the team's starter in place of Peyton Manning, suffered a head injury in Week 3 against Pittsburgh and has not played since. He finished with a lowly 49 percent completion percentage as he failed to top 200 passing yards in either of his three games this season. (Updated 10/25/2011)

Fantasy Analysis
With Collins' season -- and potentially his career -- over, the Colts apparently will utilize Curtis Painter under center for the remainder of the year. Collins finished with two touchdown passes, both in the first two weeks of the season, and one interception. The 39-year-old amassed 40,922 yards and 208 touchdowns in his 17-year career. Fantasy owners should drop him in all formats. (Updated 10/25/2011).
