|Brett Favre rebuffs inquiry from Rams |
|by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com|
(10/24/13) The Rams called Brett Favre Sunday after losing starting quarterback Sam Bradford to a season-ending knee injury to ask if the retired quarterback would be willing to play for St. Louis, league sources told ESPN. Favre, who hasn't played in the NFL since December 2010, declined the offer.
"It's flattering, but you know there's no way I'm going to do that," Favre said during an interview with ESPN 570 Radio in Washington Thursday. "I had a great career. I think if anything, the last year that I played was an obvious writing on the walk, vision for you if you will. It was time."

Super Bowl Judgements: Woodson inspires, Rodgers delivers
The weather in Big D is horrific, but in the end, the big game is terrific. Even after inspirational Charles Woodson joins the long injury list, the champion Packers look primed for a repeat, Clark Judge says.
Nothing can stop Pack from doing what they do best: winning
The Super Bowl goes much the same for Green Bay as the season. It suffers countless injuries and still does exactly what the Packers do: win. Mike Freeman says that not even superstition could stop the champs.
Pack's Rodgers named MVP after Super Bowl XLV win
Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the MVP of the Super Bowl, an honor his Packers predecessor Brett Favre never earned.
