Jackson will be ready for workouts: Fred Jackson told WGR-AM he expects to be ready to work out when the team's offseason conditioning program opens in April. Jackson sprained his right LCL Week 1 and his season ended Week 14 with a Grade 2 MCL sprain of the same knee. "I'm on track ready to go," he said. "I’m trying to hit the ground running and do as much as I can. I've been cleared by all the doctors so I’m ready to get back into it, and get back on the field and prove to these coaches that I need to be on the field."

Fantasy Analysis
It's good news for Jackson but the reality is that Jackson's age and wear-and-tear might have caught up with him last season, limiting him to just 10 games for the second consecutive year. Between his NFL and UIFL career Jackson has 1,563 carries and will be 32 when this coming season starts. Without any hint from the Bills the hunch is that Jackson will play second-fiddle to C.J. Spiller. It's probably best to aim for Jackson as a quality reserve rusher on Draft Day assuming his situation doesn't change.
