Brooks finds the end zone vs. Saints : 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks recorded his first career touchdown in Week 12 against the Saints. Brooks stepped in front of a Drew Brees pass attempt just before halftime and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown. It was his first interception of the season and second of his career. Brooks also was credited with 1.5 sacks in the 31-21 win to go along with five tackles and a pass defended.

| Fantasy Analysis |
Brooks turned in a monster effort against the Saints as he did a bit of everything in the win. Unfortunately for Fantasy owners, the 27-year-old has done much else this season as he has just 33 tackles on the year to go along with one INT, two forced fumbles and five pass defended. At this point in the season, Brooks should only be starting in deeper IDP formats.

It's safe to assume that Super Bowl XLVII didn't go exactly as planned -- for almost everyone involved. San Francisco didn't show up until the second half -- after the Superdome lost power -- precisely when Baltimore began a near-epic meltdown. But the Ravens held on to win one of the most electrifying world championships in recent memory 34-31.

49ers Ahmad Brooks, Aldon Smith start despite shoulder injuries
To no one's surprise, linebackers Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks started the Super Bowl for the 49ers after being limited in practice all week. They were listed as probable with shoulder injuries on San Francisco's final injury report.
