Percy Harvin has seven grabs in overtime win
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(9/21/14) Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin enjoyed a productive performance but was held out of the end zone in Week 3 against the Broncos.

Harvin, who was limited to one grab in Week 2 against San Diego, got back on track and established himself as the primary receiving option in the passing game. He was targeted nine times and finished with a team-high seven receptions for 42 yards in a 26-20 overtime win.

Through three games, Harvin has 15 catches for 106 yards. The Seahawks has a Week 4 bye, so he'll look to get back in the end zone in Week 5 at Washington.

Percy Harvin leads the Seahawks...in rushing
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/14/14) Seahawks receiver Percy Harvin found a way to make an impact Week 2 against the Chargers.

Harvin was not much of a factor in the passing game. He received just one target, catching the pass for 5 yards. He was a huge threat in the running game, however. On his first carry of the game, Harvin broke out for a 51 yard score. Though Harvin stepped out of bounds during the play, it was still ruled a touchdown. Harvin's second rushing attempt came with the team attempting a game-winning drive. He was stuffed for a 6 yard loss.

Harvin finished with two rushes for 45 yards. That led the club. He'll look to do more in the passing game Week 3 against the Broncos.

Percy Harvin makes a big impact Thursday
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/5/14) Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin made a big impact Thursday against the Packers.

Despite seeing limited time in the offense last season, Harvin didn’t seem to miss a beat Week 1. He was the preferred target of quarterback Russell Wilson, leading the team with seven receptions for 59 yards. He was also a threat in the run game, carrying the ball four times for 41 yards. Harvin was also used on kick returns during the game.

With Harvin healthy, Seattle was able to diversify the playbook even more. Harvin was used on a number of read-option and play action-type plays in order to create mismatches in the Packers secondary. While these didn’t lead to any big time plays from Harvin Week 1, it seems like they’ll be a staple of the team’s offense as long as Harvin is healthy.

Harvin will take on the Chargers Week 2.

Percy Harvin looking to start the year on the right foot
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/2/14) Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin is looking at a strong matchup Week 1 against the Packers.

A quiet preseason was a good preseason for Harvin. After missing nearly all of last season due to a hip injury, Harvin was able to play in all but the final game of the preseason. He missed the fourth game due to a personal issue, and not because of an injury. Harvin caught seven balls for 92 yards in August.

The Packers didn’t boast a strong pass defense last season. The team allowed opposing wide receivers to average 22.94 Fantasy points per game. That wasn’t one of the worst rates in the league, but it was below-average. The team attempted to address this during the offseason, taking Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in the first round. Despite that, there’s no guarantee the team will perform better in the defensive backfield.

Despite the fact that Harvin is a five-year veteran, there are questions about how he’ll be used with the Seahawks. While Harvin was able to play during the club’s playoff run, it was unclear whether he was actually fully healthy last year. Harvin has shown the ability to be a game-changing wide receiver, so it’s assumed the Seahawks will find ways to get arguably their best playmaker the ball. The club has been been incredibly run-heavy over the past few seasons, but a healthy Harvin could make them more balanced.

Personal issue keeps Percy Harvin sidelined Thursday
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/29/14) Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin did not travel with the team to Oakland for the preseason finale. He was out for what was described as a personal matter that also prevented him from participating in the final two practices of the week.

Harvin has performed well in the preseason despite coming off offseason hip surgery. A hip problem limited him to just one regular season game a year ago.
