by Dave Richard \| Senior Fantasy Writer (6/11/13) Multiple reports along with the Patriots' official press release confirm that the Patriots intend to keep Tim Tebow at quarterback. He'll battle for a spot on the depth chart beginning this week in minicamp. Per CBSSports.com NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, Tebow signed a two-year deal with no guaranteed money, meaning the Pats could cut him at any point without owing him anything.

Tebow signs with Patriots

Sports reported that Patriots coach Bill Belichick "hates" Tebow as a player. Belichick denied that report, and obviously stood by that denial. “Every single player has strengths and weaknesses but regardless of that, for anyone to have represented that is the way I feel about Tim Tebow is completely untrue, baseless and irresponsible," Belichick said. "It is unfortunate that something so inaccurate was reported.” Tebow spent 2012 with the Jets where he completed just 6 of 8 passes for 39 yards and had 32 carries for 102 yards. He was the backup quarterback behind Mark Sanchez but also played a role on special teams. For the Patriots, Tebow will compete for a role as the No. 3 quarterback behind Tom Brady and Ryan Mallett.

Tebow clears waivers

On March 21, 2012, the Jets traded for Tebow from the Broncos with visions of using him in a number of roles but he attempted all of eight passes for them, completing six for 39 yards. He had more runs, 32, totaling 102 yards but without a touchdown.
