Gordon placed on IR: Less than 24 hours after being released by the Seahawks, DL Kentwan Balmer was claimed by the Panthers. The team announced the move hours before their preseason game against the Bengals on Thursday. To make room for Balmer, the team placed CB Cletis Gordon on the injured reserve. (Updated 08/25/2011)

Fantasy Analysis
Gordon played in the United Football League last season, as did many former NFL players. With the Florida Tuskers, he was able to play on a more consistent basis -- though the competition was under that of the NFL. He won't get a chance at NFL playing time for another full season now that he is on the IR, so Gordon should not be considered in any Fantasy format in 2011. (Updated 08/25/2011).
