Geno Atkins' feet don't keep him down
|by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer|
|(9/14/14) Bengals defensive lineman Geno Atkins, who was limited in practice leading up to the game with a foot issue, is active for Week 2 against Atlanta. He was listed as probable on Friday's injury report.
Atkins missed the final seven games last year with a torn ACL. He had one tackle in Week 1.

|(9/12/14) The Bengals have again ruled out wide receiver Marvin Jones, this time for the Week 2 clash against Tennessee.
The team lists halfback Rex Burkhead (knee) and linebacker Sean Porter (hamstring) as doubtful. Linebacker Vontaze Burfict (concussion) is questionable while defensive tackle Geno Atkins (feet), cornerback Darqueze Dennard (hip) and defensive end Carlos Dunlap (hamstring) are probable.
Geno Atkins makes little impact in return

|(9/8/14) Bengals defensive lineman Geno Atkins had a quiet return from injury in Week 1 against the Ravens, in a 23-16 win Sunday.
Atkins, who missed seven games a year ago after tearing his ACL, had just one tackle in his return to action, and did not get to the quarterback in the game. Afterwards he had to be carted off the field, but was just dealing with dehydration, according to coach Marvin Lewis. Atkins played 49 of 88 defensive players for the Bengals.
Geno Atkins might play Sunday, good to go for season opener
|by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com|
|(8/20/14) Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins, who's coming back from a torn ACL, participated in team drills Wednesday and convinced defensive coordinator Paul Guenther he's ready to play a couple series Sunday at Arizona, reports the team's website. Whether or not Atkins plays Sunday, coach Marvin Lewis said the two-time Pro Bowler "is a go" for the regular-season opener in Baltimore.
|A torn ACL suffered in Week 9 ended Geno Atkins' 2013 prematurely, but signs point to him being ready for the start of the 2014 season. That's very good news considering the numbers we typically see him deliver. Over the last three years Atkins has averaged nearly three tackles and more than half a sack per game. That doesn't sound like much but for a defensive tackle that's great. He's fine as a No. 2 Fantasy DL (normally he'd be a No. 1 but with the ACL injury you have to be careful) worth what'll likely end up being a middle-round choice.
