|Geno Atkins, Leon Hall on track for training camp |
|by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com|
(2/9/14) Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins (torn ACL) and cornerback Leon Hall (torn Achilles') have encountered no setbacks in their rehabs and "it sounds like both are on track to work at some point in camp," reports the team's website. But it's early and "that's why fingers are crossed" that neither star begins the season on the PUP list, the report said.

(11/1/13) The bad news that was expected came in Friday when an MRI confirmed that Bengals defensive Geno Atkins has a torn ACL. He will be out for the season.
Atkins sustained the injury Thursday night against Miami. He will end the year with 20 tackles and six sacks.
|Geno Atkins suffers ACL injury, possibly a tear |
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
(11/1/13) Bengals defensive lineman Geno Atkins' season likely came to an end Thursday, after he suffered what is feared to be a torn ACL, according to the NFL Network's broadcast. Coach Marvin Lewis confirmed to reporters after the game that Atkins has an ACL injury, but would not give details as to the extent of the injury.
|Geno Atkins led the Bengals in sacks for the second year in a row, picking up an incredible 12.5 while adding 53 total tackles with four forced fumbles and a pair of passes defensed. He should continue to get the opportunity to get to the quarterback for the Bengals, and with 23 sacks in three seasons (he didn't play much as a rookie), Fantasy owners should consider gambling on him as a solid No. 1 DL with a mid-round pick.
