Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas posts fourth straight 100-yard game

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(10/24/14) Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas set a team record with his consecutive 100-yard game in a comfortable Thursday night victory over the Chargers in Week 8.

Thomas nearly got in the end zone after catching a slant and taking it for a gain of 16 yards on the final play of the opening quarter. He was brought down at the 2-yard line and Emmanuel Sanders scored a touchdown several plays later.

Thomas came down with a 23-yard grab on the second drive after halftime for his longest gain of the night. He was targeted 12 times and finished with eight catches for 105 yards in a 35-21 victory.

Thomas has 767 receiving yards through seven games. His fourth straight 100-yard game is also the longest active streak in the league. He'll look to extend his streak to five games Week 9 at New England.

Demaryius Thomas clearly the top wide receiver

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(10/20/14) Coming into the season, Demaryius Thomas wasn't the clear No. 1 wide receiver in Fantasy. Calvin Johnson was. And while Thomas was in the discussion for the No. 2 spot, so were A.J. Green and Julio Jones.

But with Johnson and Green battling injuries and Jones an indirect victim of the Falcons' offensive line woes, Thomas has emerged as the top dog at the position. Frankly, he'd probably be there even if those other three played exactly as they were supposed to. He's the most talented wide receiver the (soon to be) most prolific passer in league history has ever had to work with, and the two are beginning to click like never before. Over his last three games, Thomas has averaged 8.7 catches for 173.7 yards with five touchdowns.

Certainly, he won't maintain that pace for the rest of the season. If he did, he'd finish with about 2,400 yards. But if Peyton Manning continues to give him preferential treatment instead of reverting to the equal opportunity passer he was in his first two years with the Broncos, the two could challenge the record books.

Nothing against Jordy Nelson, who has actually been the best wide receiver in standard CBSSports.com leagues to date, but I think Thomas blows him and every other wide receiver out of the water going forward.

Demaryius Thomas scores twice in Broncos' Week 7 win

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10/19/14) Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas caught eight of his nine targets for 171 yards and two touchdowns in his team's 42-17 win over the 49ers in Week 7.

Thomas hauled in Peyton Manning's record-breaking score on an eight-yard pass in the second quarter then hauled in a 40-yard bomb over the top after halftime for his second score. After starting the season slow with only 141 yards and one touchdown in his first three games, the elite wide receiver has racked up 521 yards and five touchdowns in his last three games. He'll look to keep rolling when the Broncos face the Chargers on Thursday.

Torrid Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas grabs 10 more Sunday

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(10/12/14) Broncos wideout Demaryius Thomas wasted no time helping bury the host Jets on Sunday. His 54-yard catch-and-run opened the game and he continued to torment the guys in green.

Thomas managed 61 yards receiving on the first possession and added a 1-yard touchdown reception with 5:50 remaining in the half. He snagged five passes for 83 yards before intermission and finished with 10 catches for 124 yards to lead both teams in both categories.

The prolific wideout has snagged 18 passes for 350 yards and three touchdowns in the last two games combined. He will try to stay sizzling against the 49ers in Week 7.

Anyone doubting Demaryius Thomas now?

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(10/6/14) After underwhelming to begin the year, averaging 4.3 catches for 47.0 yards the first three weeks before going on bye in the fourth, Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas probably had some of his Fantasy owners on the verge of panic. They know nothing but elation today after he made up for lost production with a franchise record 226 receiving yards Week 5 against Arizona. He also tripled his season touchdown total with scores of 31 yards and 86 yards, both in the second quarter.

Other than the numbers, there was never any reason to doubt Thomas. He still has superior size and breakaway speed, not to mention the best quarterback in the game throwing him the football.

You drafted Thomas as a top-five wide receiver, and ultimately, that's what he'll be in Fantasy. I expect greater consistency from him going forward.
