Bills list Week 11 inactives vs. Dolphins
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(11/13/14) The Bills have listed the following players as inactive for Thursday's Week 11 matchup with the Dolphins: running backs Fred Jackson (groin) and Phillip Tanner, cornerback Ron Brooks (groin), wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (ribs), defensive end Jarius Wynn (knee), linebacker Randell Johnson and offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio.
Jackson, Brooks and Goodwin were all listed as questionable to play, while Wynn had already been ruled out on the team's final injury report. Wide receiver Marcus Easley (knee) is active after being listed as questionable, as is wide receiver Mike Williams, who will give the team another option with Goodwin sidelined.
Bills wide receiver Mike Williams questions coaching staff
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(11/10/14) After being declared inactive for Buffalo’s Week 10 loss to Kansas City, Bills wide receiver Mike Williams expressed frustration with his healthy scratch.
"Anytime I don't play, I think it's the wrong decision," Williams said, per ESPN. "But I'm a team player, so if they think that's best for the team, then it's time I gotta sit down for what's best for the team."
In seven games for the Bills, Williams has produced eight receptions for 142 yards and one touchdown. Despite the lack of production, Williams remains confident in his ability to help the team.
"I think it's just about the opportunities and reps. I just think when I get those, I think it will be a lot better for me and hopefully for the team,” Williams said.
Bills could activate Mike Williams this week

|(10/16/14) The Bills could activate receiver Mike Williams for Week 7, according to ESPN.
Williams was a surprise scratch last weekend, and was expected to be a healthy scratch again. That could change after receiver Marquise Goodwin injured himself during Thursday's practice. The extent of Goodwin's injury is not known at this time.
Report: Bills WR Mike Williams earns first-team reps this week
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
|(10/16/14) Embattled Bills wideout Mike Williams, who was a healthy scratch on Sunday, has received first-team reps in practice this week, according to the team website.
Williams, who has expressed discontent over a lack of playing time and has received permission to seek a trade, had been a productive player earlier in his career with Tampa Bay. But he has just eight catches for 142 yards and one touchdown so far this season. He has gained 11 yards or less through the air in three of the five games in which he's played.
|Mike Williams was traded to Buffalo this spring, where he reunited with his college head coach Doug Marrone. The hope here is that the familiarity breeds some success for Williams, who was once a near-1,000-yard, high-touchdown producer for the Buccaneers. It seems unlikely that Williams will reach those numbers again, but now that he's over a hamstring tear from last season and should be in position to play a bunch, he's a candidate for 50 catches. It's not enough to make Williams a player to target on Draft Day, but he could be someone worth grabbing off waivers once the byes start to kick in.
