(8/25/14) Falcons guard Jon Asamoah was held out of practice Monday with an unspecified injury, ESPN.com reports.
"Jon Asamoah was held out for precautionary reasons for practice today, and we don't anticipate that it will be any issues at all for him moving forward," head coach Mike Smith said.
Asamoah was removed from Saturday's preseason game before the rest of the starting offensive line.

(3/11/14) The Falcons' first splash in free agency this spring was a big one -- figuratively and literally. The team has agreed to terms with defensive tackle Paul Soliai, formerly with the Dolphins, and offensive lineman Jon Asamoah, formerly with the Chiefs, ESPN reports.
Soliai was reportedly on the Falcons' radar for a while. A pure run stuffer, Soliai has missed one game over the last four years. Asamoah, a product from Rich East High School in Park Forest, Illinois, started nine of 14 games for the Chiefs last year and 15 games the year before that.

(3/8/14) The Jets are targeting Chiefs free agent guard Jon Asamoah, according to the New York Daily News. Asamoah started nine of 14 games he played with Kansas City in 2013.
Asamoah would serve as an upgrade for the Jets over incumbent starter Willie Colon, particularly as a pass blocker. Colon is also a free agent, but interest in him could be lessened as he is recovering from a torn biceps tendon sustained in Week 17.
