| Bucs lose DL Clayborn for season |

(9/24/12) Bucs coach Greg Schiano announced Monday defensive end Adrian Clayborn will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury suffered Week 3 against the Cowboys. He will need surgery. Schiano said the team's response to losing Clayborn might be to play more snaps with three down linemen.

| Adrian Clayborn hopes to come back strong after tearing an ACL early last season. His 2011 numbers (7.5 sacks and 42 tackles) suggest he has a chance to serve as the Bucs' primary pass rusher. While he's got lots of potential, he's really best suited as a quality reserve since he could be slow to come back from the knee injury. Think late-round pick on Clayborn. (Updated 4/26/13) |
