Irving hit hard, suffers concussion: Denver linebacker Nate Irving was knocked out of Sunday's game against the Texans in Week 3 after suffering a concussion. Irving sustained the injury while making a tackle on Trindon Holliday during punt coverage late in the second quarter. Medical trainer had to remove the facemask out of his helmet as he was assisted back to the locker room for further examinations.

Irving seemed like he lost consciousness during the hit and it took several minutes for him to get up. His status for next week's game against the Raiders at home is still up in the air. At this point, Irving is not a worthwhile option, even when healthy.
