|Report: Beanie Wells suffers Achilles injury during workout |
|by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com|
(10/28/13) Free agent running back Beanie Wells sustained a season-ending Achilles injury while working out for the Ravens last week, according to ESPN. The injury prevented Wells from finishing his workout Wednesday.
League sources said the injury is so bad that Wells won't be able to work out for any other teams in the coming weeks. The oft-injured Wells has been a free agent since being released by the Cardinals in March.
|Report: Beanie Wells not expected to become a Raven |
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
(10/23/13) The reported tryout of Beanie Wells is not expected to result in a signing by the Ravens, according to ESPN. Wells has been seeking employment since his release from Arizona in March.
The Ravens have been anemic on the ground this season at 2.8 yards per carry, which is also the average for both Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce.

(10/23/13) Former Arizona 1,000-yard featured back Beanie Wells has tried out for the Ravens, a league source told the Baltimore Sun.
Wells played extensively for the Cardinals from 2009 to 2011 and rushed for 1,047 yards in that last season. But he was cut in March and not signed since despite previous tryouts with Pittsburgh, Jacksonville and the New York Giants.
|Beanie Wells and Jonathan Dwyer work out with Giants |

(9/4/13) The Giants worked out running backs Beanie Wells and Jonathan Dwyer Tuesday, according to the New York Daily News.
The Giants are looking for a backup running back to take over for the injured Andre Brown. Wells was cut by the Cardinals before the start of free agency and has not been able to sign with a team before Week 1. Dwyer was in the mix for the Pittsburgh's starting job, but was cut after the fourth preseason game.
|Wells works out for Jags |
|by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(6/6/13) The Florida Times-Union reports that the Jaguars worked out former Cardinals running back Beanie Wells on Thursday. Wells was released by Arizona in mid-March after playing in only eight games last year because of a knee injury. He has also visited with Pittsburgh. The Jaguars might be in need of help at running back, especially in training camp, with Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) banged up. After Jones-Drew, the Jaguars have just Justin Forsett and Denard Robinson at running back.
|Beanie Wells missed the 2013 season after failing to sign with a team and then suffering a torn Achilles during a workout with the Ravens in October. He will likely attempt a comeback at some point this season, so keep an eye out for any news, but he has minimal Fantasy value coming into the year. Ignore him in all leagues on Draft Day.
