|Seahawks defense in good shape for Week 1 |
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
(11/15/13) The Seahawks' injury report for Week 11 against the Vikings features a lengthy list of defensive players, the vast majority of whom are expected to play through their injuries. Of the 11 defenders on the injury report, all but two are considered probable for Sunday's game.
The probables for Week 11 include: Defensive linemen Jordan Hill (biceps), Chris Clemons (not injury related), Tony McDaniel (hamstring) and Bruce Irvin (shoulder); defensive backs Jeremy Lane (thigh), Richard Sherman (hip), Kam Chancellor (hip) and Jeron Johnson (hamstring); and linebacker Heath Farwell (knee). All players were able to practice Friday and should be able to play.

|Usual standouts do little for Seahawks |
|by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(11/10/13) Seahawks defensive backs Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas, who are typically among their biggest contributors statistically, offered little in the way of numbers Week 10 at Atlanta. Sherman had three solo tackles, and Thomas had one.
Sherman is averaging only 3.1 tackles per game, but he does have four interceptions on the season. Thomas is averaging 7.2 to go along with four interceptions.
|Seahawks DST keeps Rams out of end zone |
|by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com|
(10/29/13) The Seahawks DST did not allow a touchdown in the Week 8 win in St. Louis, making a goal-line stand to end the game. The defense picked off Kellen Clemens twice, including Richard Sherman's fourth interception this season, and sacked the backup quarterback three times.
However, the unit was strangely vulnerable to the run. Seattle allowed 5.4 yards per carry as the Rams rushed for a whopping 200 yards.
The Seahawks DST gets another plus matchup Week 9 vs. Tampa Bay.
|Richard Sherman considers himself the best cornerback in the NFL, and he definitely played like it in 2012. Sherman had eight interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, to go with 64 total tackles (53 solo) and a fumble recovery. Teams will shy away from throwing at Sherman, so keep that in mind on Draft Day, but he is worth a late-round flier in all IDP formats because of his ability to get interceptions with 12 in two years.
