| Butler's season cut short |
by Adam Moore | CBSSports.com (12/30/12) Chargers linebacker Donald Butler was ruled inactive for Week 17 against the Raiders due to a groin injury. Butler was unable to practice this week after re-aggravating the injury in San Diego's win over the Jets last week.
|
| Donald Butler's season in 2012 was marred by a groin injury that cost the linebacker four games, but he should return this year at 100 percent. He finished last year with 77 total tackles (51 solo) so he was on pace to set a new career high since his best year was 2011 when he had 96 tackles. He also added 3.5 sacks, one interception, one defensive touchdown and four pass defenses. We consider Butler as a No. 3 option in IDP leagues this season. He is worth drafting with a late-round pick, and he can be a spot starter or bye-week replacement in the majority of leagues. (Updated 4/26/13) |
