|Sean Weatherspoon hurts knee again |
|by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(12/15/13) Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon limped to the locker room in the fourth quarter Week 15 against the Redskins with a knee injury. He had one assisted tackle before leaving.
He was limited in practice this week with a shoulder injury, but his knee was bothering him leading up to Week 14 at Green Bay. He missed seven games earlier this season with a foot injury.
|Missing three games in 2012 put a damper on Sean Weatherspoon's stats, but he still proved he's a heck of a defender and stat producer. Weatherspoon racked up 95 total tackles with three sacks, four passes defensed along with his first NFL interception and first forced fumble. Had he played a full year his numbers would have been better and he would have finished as a top-20 linebacker. We like the idea of considering Weatherspoon a quality No. 2 option worth a middle- to late-round pick after the top linebackers go off the board. (Updated 4/26/13) |
