|Jeremy Beal ready to compete |
|by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(6/27/13) Broncos defensive end Jeremy Beal is looking to make an impact this season after he was lost for the 2012 campaign due to a knee injury.
Beal told the team's official website that he learned a lot from watching on the sideline and in the film room and is ready to go this year.
"What I learned last year while I was on IR, I watched a lot of film," Beal said. "I couldn't do anything else except for lift and do some rehab, so I watched a lot of film. I learned a lot just by doing that, by learning film, learning the keys, learning different stuff."
Beal is now healthy and fighting for the chance to make his regular-season debut.
"Jeremy’s a good, young player who had an unfortunate injury last year," defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio said. "We're glad to have him back and healthy. He’s in the mix at defensive end."
Beal will have to play well in training camp if he's to make the team.
