McCoy scheduled for surgery: Tampa Bay DL Gerald McCoy, out for the season with a biceps injury, will have surgery on Wednesday to repair the torn right biceps tendon, reports the Tampa Tribune Tuesday. McCoy tore the tendon tackling Chris Ivory in the first quarter of the Week 9 loss at New Orleans. "I'm not down," McCoy said during his weekly radio show on WDAE 620 AM on Tuesday. "Everybody expects me to be sad. I'm not sad. I'm loving life. Things could be a lot worse." (Updated 11/08/2011)

For the second straight year, McCoy's season has ended with an abrupt injury. He also suffered a torn biceps to his opposite arm last year in his rookie season, and missed the team's final three games. McCoy finished with 11 tackles and one sack in six games this season as he's struggled to play up to his lofty draft status when he was the third overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft.
