Toston thrives in spot start: Jaguars running back Keith Toston was a late addition to the starting lineup Week 17 at Tennessee after starting running back Montell Owens was a pregame scratch because of a knee injury. While Toston hadn't received a carry in an NFL game since Dec. 22, 2010, he looked the part of a starting NFL running back Sunday. Toston had a team-high 74 rushing yards on 17 carries. He started well by rushing for 29 yards on the team's opening drive. Toston added three catches for 41 yards and finished with 115 total yards. (Updated 12/30/12)

Fantasy Analysis
Toston was added and dropped from the Jaguars' active roster all season, so he was familiar with the offense despite not getting a carry before Sunday. While the Titans have struggled to stop the run this season, Toston's performance was still very surprising. He thrived in a pressure situation and that could put him on the radar of some NFL teams, but Toston is an exclusive rights free agent, so the Jaguars get the first chance at keeping him on their roster. Regardless, we will have to track Toston's offseason progress before making a final judgement on his Fantasy appeal for next season.
