Fantasy Analysis
Barber left Sunday's game initially with an arm injury before being able to return. The 15-year veteran, passed LB Derrick Brooks for most games played in Tampa Bay history at 225. Barber has hinted at retirement before this season. Fantasy owners should monitor his status as he remains a decent late-round option in IDP drafts for 2012 when healthy. (Updated 01/01/2012).
Ronde Barber keeps getting older, but his stats aren't slowing down. Barber was a productive Fantasy DB last season thanks in part to his 13 passes defensed, three interceptions and 82 total tackles. When his game is at its best, that's the kind of production Fantasy owners can expect from Barber. The 14-year veteran will be in a contract year in 2011, but retirement has to be on his mind. To that end, consider Barber nothing more than a low-end No. 2 Fantasy DB worth a middle- to late-round pick in drafts. (Updated 5/3/11)
