Preseason Outlook

Bartel finds Fitzgerald in relief: Arizona QB Richard Bartel saw action in his second game of the season, as the Cardinals' starter John Skelton was benched in the third quarter. Bartel came in for the entire fourth quarter, and was 8 for 16 for 64 yards and a 23-yard touchdown pass to Larry Fitzgerald. (Updated 11/20/2011)

Fantasy Analysis
Bartel came in for Skelton, and moved the offense slightly better than Skelton. However, he is not viewed as a starter by the Cardinals' coaching staff and should not get a look in Week 12 at St. Louis, regardless of whether original starter Kevin Kolb comes back from injury. Cardinals' coach Ken Whisenhunt said that despite Skelton's struggles, he will start next week if QB Kevin Kolb still is unable to play. Continue to ignore Bartel in all Fantays formats.
