Looks like Fletcher will play: CBS Washington is reporting linebacker London Fletcher will undergo surgery to fix his left ankle and his elbow, signaling his intent to return in 2013. These operations will be Fletcher's first and second career procedures. Surgery is the first step towards prepping for next season," he said. (Updated 3/6/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
Fletcher's 139 total tackles in 2012 gave him his 12th straight season with at least 110 total tackles. If there's something to raise an eyebrow at it's that he had a career-low 78 solo tackles to go with 61 assisted tackles last year. But he also tied a career-best with 11 passes defensed and set a career-high with five interceptions. If Fletcher comes back in 2013 at 38 years old, he'll be worth penciling in as a low-end No. 1 Fantasy linebacker although there's obvious concern for a stat regression. Making him a mid-round pick wouldn't be a bad idea. (Updated 3/6/13). |
| London Fletcher is returning for his 16th season in 2013. He decided to have surgery on his ankle and elbow to be ready for the start of the year, and Fletcher continues to play at a high level. He had 139 total tackles in 2012, which gave him his 12th straight season with at least 110 total tackles. He also tied a career-best with 11 passes defensed and set a career-high with five interceptions. He is a solid starting linebacker in all IDP leagues, and we consider Fletcher a mid-round pick in all formats as long as his ankle and elbow are fine as expected. (Updated 4/26/13) |
