Sheard moving to linebacker: Browns coach Rob Chudzinski told the official team website that Jabaal Sheard has "picked things up really well" in his move from defensive end to outside linebacker. "I know there was a number of 3-4 teams that looked at him when he was coming out of college, that were really interested in him," Chudzinski said. "I've been impressed with him from a mental standpoint and what hes been able to bring out to the field." (Updated 4/17/13) |

Sheard registered as a low-end No. 2/high-end No. 3 Fantasy DL last year thanks to his 7.0 sacks and 55 total tackles. In fact Sheard had 55 total tackles in each of his first two years in the league, both as a down lineman. Moving to linebacker will take some of his Fantasy appeal away because he won't be considered a high-tackle producer. He's still worth a late-round pick, though. (Updated 4/17/13). |

Finding the Fits: Browns' gamble on McFadden could pay off
With a clear need at cornerback opposite young star Joe Haden, logic said Cleveland should have been targeting Dee Milliner or D.J. Hayden. History says Cleveland could be right in waiting to add their cornerback, especially given former SDSU star Leon McFadden's coverage ability.

| It looks like Jabaal Sheard will return to linebacker after playing as a defensive end in 2012. Though Sheard has some good pass-rush ability, the opportunity to produce big stats as a linebacker drops because other LBs will get more tackles. So consider Sheard a reserve option, perhaps even someone not worth drafting. The story would be different if he were a defensive lineman. (Updated 4/26/13) |
