Bryan Bulaga to play right tackle
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(3/25/14) Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Bryan Bulaga will start the season at right tackle, with David Bakhtiari remaining at left tackle. Bulaga missed all of last season with a knee injury and Bakhtiari held his own on the left side as a rookie.
Aaron Rodgers' blindside protector still a question mark
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(1/22/14) More than two years after Chad Clifton played his last game, the Packers still aren't sure who their future left tackle is, reports the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Bryan Bulaga was supposed to man that spot this season, but he tore his ACL and was replaced by rookie David Bakhtiari.

Bakhtiari held his own. Still, coach Mike McCarthy and offensive line coach James Campen have not committed to him for 2014. "I don't think you can really get into that at this point," Campen told the paper. "You have a lot of players that are coming back. It will be a lot of competition there. That will be a very competitive situation and a good situation to have."

A fourth-round pick, Bakhtiari is undersized for the position at 6-4, 300 pounds, and might be more suited to the right side, the report said.

Packers place three players on IR
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(8/27/13) The Packers placed tackle Bryan Bulaga (knee), wide receiver Kevin Dorsey (toe) and linebacker Jarvis Reed (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Mike McCarthy not ruling out Bryan Bulaga playing this year
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/6/13) Packers coach Mike McCarthy isn't conceding that starting left tackle Bryan Bulaga, the blindside protector for Aaron Rodgers, is out for the season. Bulaga tore his ACL in Saturday's intrasquad scrimmage.

“We’re still waiting on a medical opinion," McCarthy said, via the team's website. "Bryan is still hopeful of giving it a go. Nothing has been finalized. He doesn’t even look like he’s injured."

McCarthy added the Packers "always do what’s in the best interest of the player" and Bulaga "is fully aware of what it would take to play this season."

Report: LT Bryan Bulaga has torn ACL
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/5/13) Packers starting left tackle Bryan Bulaga indeed has a torn ACL, reports ProFootballTalk.com. If that's the case, Green Bay likely will shift Marshall Newhouse to left tackle, where he was barely adequate last year. The Pack then might have to start rookie David Bakhtiari at right tackle.

Bulaga's injury is bad news for Aaron Rodgers, who was sacked a league-high 51 times last year.
