(8/28/13) The Cowboys could start a quite inexperienced duo at guard this season, Jerry Jones told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Jones offered that it would not be surprising if converted tackle Doug Free and Ronald Leary, who has been active for just one game in his career, open the regular season as the starters.
The Cowboys signed free agent guards Mackenzy Bernadeau and Nate Livings a year ago for a combined $6.2 million. Bernadeau has been slow to adjust to a move to the left side while Livings has been sidelined since having knee surgery on August 16.
